Has anyone made a data char/Bo in the game with close likeness? plz post your pics or a guide. I havent bean sucessfull at this yet and i whuld like some ideas or cross notes if you like.
Some folks have had some luck with this, but it is hard to make an exact likeness.
I have not seen the official statement, but many claim that CBS has ban the idea of any Andriod player characters. I myself made an EAH (Enhanced Artifical Humaniod) which is based on the volumes of research obtain from the 3 Android models (Data, Lore, and B4), Borg technology, and other organic circuitry research. His AI is a mix of actual Star Fleet Officers, and Neural Network Matrix coding. This creates a extremely experienced officer whom can learn and adapt quickly. I assume that true Andriods are not allowed based on the resistance they would have to most ingame threats. Also Andriods are supposed to be a very rare occurance. Might also be that Lucas Arts kinda owns the concept of 'droids' and 'androids' are rather simular concepts.
The closeest ones I have seen use the yellowish skin tones, use the non-heroic face, have adjusted the nose to be a right angle triangle shape that is tall, and thin on the bridge. Eyes were yellow cornia, and oval in shape. The hair is black, and not overly shiny. I forget the haristyle name, but the Data hair style is ingame. Eyebrows are simular to the angled one for Vulcans, but I did see a medium eyebrow that looked rther good also. Posture that looked okay usually are the default, thoughtful, and twitch works well if your going for the B4 look.
Best of luck, and as long as you like the end result who care what others think.
Who wants a cheap cabon copy of Data? I would rather make a character based on KOS-MOS from Xenosaga. Named something like ABBIE or something like that, she would have been built by the Daystrom Insitute using what they learned from Dr. Soong, Dr. Ira Graves, and reseach on other alien humanoid AI technology. My particular character concept would have been created initally to combat the Jem'Hadar and the Borg. What would set her appart, would be her looking for a higher purpose after the final defeat of the Borg. This would explore the human element, but would not simply copy Data/Spock/Seven.
So I assume that this is what your mentioning.....
D0L13N is an EAH (Enhanced Artificial Humanoid). Based on the volumes of research obtain from the 3 Android models (Data, Lore, and B4), Borg technology, and other organic circuitry research. His AI is a mix of actual Star Fleet Officers, and Neural Network Matrix coding. This creates a extremely experienced officer whom can learn and adapt quickly. Dolien Solaris, a Star Fleet Engineer cadet provided the base personality, after he was tramatically injured in a Warp Field experiment. The body is mantained by nanite technology, and is powered by power cells that collect power via induction technology. Not indestructible, but most any material can be used to repair damage (ingested food and drink, medical supplies, etc.). This technology is hoped to allow mortally wound officers a new life during and after their Fleet service.
I wanted a unique character, but did want to root him in existing ideas. Star Fleet, and the Federation, tend to use discovered technologies. Honestly all groups tend to do this. I agree that just making a copy of an existing character is boring. Some like doing this, and I can see the enjoyment from it. I will say this. The unknown alien option was the best idea Cryptic allowed. Star Trek has alot of races, and the option ot make your own version is a great idea.

Yes, that is a very logical (human logic, not vulcan mind you) explination. I would be glad to take my flesh and blood character on a mission with your EAH any day! A biological artificial construct (correctly refered to as a realian) could be made using the Alien template, a non-biological EAH can not be created using the current system unless they add a general EAH template.
