I wanted to give on of my fleet member my Reman officer but I couldn't. I can't even sell him. I so my only option is to refuse him because I do not want him. I only collect female officers. The should give an option of male or female offer when it is offered as a reward.
The obvious answer to this, of course, is that if he wasn't bind on pickup, they wouldn't sell an awful lot of him when he starts his "reunion tour" in the C-Store.
Seriously, we have a special borg sci, special reman sci, special ambassador sci (orions what other choice is there
The ambassador reward BO is available in any specialty (and gender, I think). My Orion slave girl is a Tac. I can understand type casting the special mission BOs as only one career, but they could at least give us the gender option (and, yes, for the million-and-oneth time, let us change their stupid clothes).
I guess I don't have to worry about hurrying to play this with all of my captains then. Most of them have themed crews and sorry, buy a Reman just won't fit those themes. I was looking forward to giving/selling my extras to players that could use them.
I guess the devs decided that the Breen prices on the Exchange really are out of control and wanted to avoid that with the Reman? What a kick in the face. Thanks, Cryptic.
Ahhh damn it. I did this on one of my VA characters just to have the officer ready. I wasn't sure which of my characters I wanted to have it on, though I know it was going to be on one which isn't LT 10 yet, so I was keeping it in reserve.. that sucks.
I don't want to have to do The Vault agaaaaaain *grrrrrooooaaannnn*

i imagine its to stop it from being sold on the exchnage like the breen officer was. and considering this officer has a very handy transfer shield 3 powers i fully support this idea.
I think there should offer been a choice of type of officer as well. a Reman is mor useful to someone who has science character then it is for other characters.
anyone can find reasons to fit their own scenerio.
did anyone bother talking to any of the NPC's during the series? all of them wanted a better life. one even said they would like to be in a spaceship seeing the stars for the duration of their life rather then be in the battles. (not word for word)
so, given the wording and reading, you got a BO that has chosen to dedicate his life to you, the savior and representation of starfleet for saving his people and him.
a dedicated BO if you will. the breen was less so. he just wanted out of the life of killing civilians and offered no such background as the remens did.
yall are just upset cause you cant sell them and make EC. i find it funny.

Except that my Science toon is a Romulan and doesn't want a stinking (literally) Reman on board her ship filled with other Romulans.
lmao...im not lazy. ive leveled 3 toons to VA and deleted them.
i currently have a count of 12 toons.
im not lazy. i enjoy the game. you are lazy. and dont want to work for it. just sayin.
second thought: your aggressive enough to claim to have 20 toons and create them and work on them, but your then TOO lazy to get the items they need or you want for them? oh the irony....
If I had to guess, I'd say it was because the Reman officer has a science power that's worth about 10-20 million EC on the exchange (TSS3). If he wasn't bind, then we'd all have hoarded him to sell later when poor suckers can't get the reward for themselves.
I'm only saying that of course, because I can't hoard him either.
Why make the Reman officer bound on receive? Because if they didn't, all the Remans would want to be on our ships and who would be left to help poor Obisek fight the good fight?

Errr aggressive enough.. yes? Considering I don't enjoy the means one must go through in this game to aquire proper equipment, yes. The first couple of times is fine. Doing it 20 times is not. Replaying episodes and grinding emblems is not my idea of time well spent.
The nice thing for you guys that do not like the BO reward is that it is only being offered for a limited time, so all you have to do is wait a bit for your issue to be resolved.

Also not to hijack much but starfleet uniforms for my impressed crew would be nice (breen exempted of course)
Oh, man. Why did they do that?

Or we, you know, don't know which character to use it on and don't want to have to farm the damn series on every character.
lol...so your lazy. ok - got it.
still agree that bind on accept is the way to go.
if you want it, you will do the steps for it, if not, then dont.

Primus be pimpin'!
(I'm totally with you on this one, my barely clothed all-female boff roster is selected purely for maximizing captain's morale.)
I'm only saying that of course, because I can't hoard him either.
Or perhaps the fact that while speculation was that we would get a Reman Boff, we didn't know what class he would be?
Right now, his tier III space skills will be useless to my Tac officer on an escort. I'd love to be able to send him to one of my Science captains.
Personally, if it is going to be bound, I'd prefer bind to account, not to character. That way I could transfer him to whichever character I wanted.
