The Star Trek Online Timecard

Has anyone here bought the Star Trek Online Timecard from Amazon.com?

If so,... Did you have problems activating it?

I bought it online from Amazon.com, and I tried to activate it by inserting the code.
The code was not accepted.

The Atari Support told me to go the seller (Amazon.com) regarding the problem. Amazon Support told me to go to the Atari Support...

I have a reason to believe that the card was not activated upon purchase online.

Any response would be appriciated. :)

I h ave purchased one and it worked for me. Did it appear to be used? If not, I'd say Atari should be able to activate it for you.

Don't spend any more money via the website or a time card until the devs permanently patch the bugs that have been plaguing this game since the beginning. They don't deserve it. They've turned pvp into a wasteland, and cause the servers to crash because of their lack of attention to detail and the long term ramifications of their horrible decisions.

    Greetings!
I wanted to check what info you had provided to the support team, but they could not find a ticket from you. I'd ask that you please contact the billing support team via the link in my signature and give them the following information there (not on the forum or in a PM, please):
    • The full Key you tried to use (All 25 digits and letters)
    • The place where you bought it
    • When you first tried to enter the code
    • Where you entered it
    • Any other info you may think may be related

The billing team can check a number of things connected to your code and will be happy to do so for you. :)

Should they then answer that you need to contact Amazon, please contact them referencing what we let you know.

    Wow, how incredibly negative.

In my opinion, STO is by far the most polished MMO I have seen at launch, and it continues to get better and better.

Except in the outta control NPC spam in PvP issue. For that reason, combined with the latest series rewards that ADD to the already out of control problem, is why I am so negative.

EDIT: I just saw Snix's post, and am relieved to see that a major concern of PvP is being seriously looked into. I feel better now. :)

Only problem I have with Time Cards anymore is the fact I can't find them at any retailers that used to carry them.

You must not have played many MMOs at launch then.

Silly Question, But have you an activation code for the game. I thought my time card wasn't working properly to before realising I needed to by the game in which you will receive an account activation card. It is confusing when you can set up an account with out one.

What Bugs would they be. I surely can't think of any that cryptic aren't working on or planning to fix.

I'm a One monthly subscriber for this particular reason. I want to give them more money over a period time to support the development as well as count as a vote towards my support of the game. I'm nearly at 200 days and can honestly say worth every penny. I would be at 300, but I move around a bit and internet connection usually takes a while to get installed.

This is not Cryptics fault. It is the players who look for ways to better there opponent, unfortunately this may include exploiting aspects of the game. And cryptic is fixing the problem we have created.

This has been fixed, the only problems have been when releasing a weekly, but when you go from 30-50% members playing on line at any time to 90% of members playing on line all at the same time, this can be expected. Imagine if every WoW player decided to hop online at the same time and play the same Quest. It would surely cause problems.

Yes another great feature to STO is that the Dev's actually take notice of the fans and player base. True to Trek. STo is also at the for front of MMO with the development of VIVOX and FOUNDRY. Thanks for keeping Trek Revolutionary.

This is not a personal attack. I just wanted to voice these opinions to a new player. STO is a major part of my life and the more players the better it will get. I would hate to see any Trek fan miss out on playing STO because of only one persons opinion.

No offense taken at all, my friend. I've been upset about certain features that are left open for exploitation for a while, and since, until recently, I felt like I was the only one, I became extremely cynical. That it's finally being addressed is one of the highlights of my week. :)
