I propose a new sector block be added inbetween Pi Canis and Psi Velorum. Place Nimbus III there as an open social hub for Feds and Klingons as well as the Rommies when they are released. The planet could also be the home of the Diplomatic Officer Exchange Program. Put a single transwarp gate there for Gamma Orianis to be shared by all. As for the Arucanis Arm and Nebula, make them like the Kahlas Expanse. I location on the map. Just a thought.
Thats an awesome idea! I'm all about new sectors and I'm sure we'll get em! I think Khitomer would be right around there somewhere so that and Nimbus would be a great addition!
I think we'll get new KDF Sectors first though. They need balance.

Unfortunately, there are screenshots that say Nimbus III isn't in that area, but more or less on the North end of the Romulan Star Empire.
However, Khitomer is in that missing area. And Cryptic can easily turn Hiromi into a floating Nebula like Mutara in Gamma Orionis or the various Nebulae in Omega Leonis.

If I remember STV right, Nimbus 3 was in neutral territory where Federation, Klingon, and Romulan space all met. My thought on it would be for people that wants to continue work in the Diplomatic Corp (such as myself) could continue to work up DXP to exchange officers. For the sake of not having too many foreign dignitaries serving on a Fed ship, perhaps you exchange one exchange officer for another. Also ambassadors could possibly have the ability to purchase a T1 vessel from another faction (T1 for balance sake. After all, dont need a bunch of VA running around PvP in battle clock or carriers do we. PvP matches would never end then )

this was propossed on the kdf foriums about 6 months ago with a huge map and new zones for kdf only to equal out fed-kdf space exploration and leveling zones and the ds9 zones unlocked to both sides.

if you check the cannon maps for star trek universe you will find that alot of the things arnt were they are meant tobe. just pointing that out.
Deserted Social Hubs? Everytime I go into SB39 there is always people there. About the limit per instance. Everytime I go into K7. Same thing. Drozana has evolved into a place where PVP fleets from both factions end up on going waiting for PVP to start. DS9 is always full of leveling up Captains. I don't know about Grenolda though.
if you mean ganalda then its normally quite empty but it isnt really a social hub with drozna so close an its only used for hand ins an buying pvp gear.
Another note about the location of Nimbus, according to maps I have seen one map shows it in that missing block and the other shows it on the upper Romulan border. However, both maps showed Iconia on the "eastern" border of Romulan space while in the game it is in the "northern" of Romulan space.
The question I have would be why would the Klingon Empire be willing to send a diplomat to a planet where he had to travel through either Federation or Romulan space?
actually if you check the map featured in the ds9 technical manual, you will find that sector space currently conforms in terms of direction, to where every alien species space is.
it is almost as it is on the map in the book.
and of course according to the map in the book, the area of space where all these races are etc, is so small, compared to the unexplored.
we're all huddled neatly together in the alpha/beta quadrant borders.
any other space maps are all fan made and there fore no more cannon than a ds9 tech manual.
Well, I have not seen the DS9 technical manual. If you have a link to the map or a picture of it, I'd like to see it. I love reference material I can look at.

Actually no. I don't venture there.

I would love some territory control PVP. I would love nimbus III.
on a side note I would love for class to be more interesting so that i was taking notes instead of posting this.
