After the interacting with Obisek for the last five weeks I kinda feel like I have the sort of relationship with him that Archer had with Shran. We don't see eye to eye on everything, but at the end of the day we want pretty much the same things.
It would be nice for him to pop in unexpectedly some time. Either to help me out of a jam or needing help himself. I think it might be interesting, if when the Romulan faction is released Obisek was one of our main contacts. He could dispatch missions or just pass along information.
I hope to see him again as well. It would be great to maybe see him again in another feature episode. Hopefully coming to the rescue during some space battle that (for the moment) seems hopeless.
I liked Obisek as well. He seemed to have a somewhat "heroic" air about him (After The Vault anyways).
Really? A hero to the Remans perhaps, but how he's going about freeing his people leaves me thinking that he'll go to whatever lengths necessary to ensure he's the victor. For now he has whatever Romulan elements are still around challenging him to channel this against to ensure Reman autonomy, but what about after that? He's little more than a pawn.
We were able to get involved with Obisek due to the Romulan Empire being little more than a few factions with no agreed central authority. As was mentioned by T'nae, it was an internal Romulan affair, but that was just principles talk as I'm sure the Federation and Starfleet were giddy to have the opportunity to strike a "justified" blow against the Tal'shiar by assisting the Remans gain their independence.
With the Tal'shiar now having a bigger problem on their hands with a solidified Reman presence in the area (which they wanted to quash) with an obvious Starfleet endorsement, it makes it that much harder for them to centralize Romulan power. The whole Romulan power dynamic has shifted greatly with this, and even more so with Sela being whisked away by the Iconians. If the Romulan Empire was unstable before, it'd have to be on the verge of collapse, if not already collapsing, now at this point with renewed conflict between those attempting to seize power.
I don't think that Federation and Starfleet interests were pure in this scenario, and were eager to jump on it to further destabilize the Romulan elements that could pose threat to the Federation since we know that those leading some of the factions in the shattered Empire had little love for the Federation. Sela being caught up in it was a bonus since there's infighting happening, which makes me think that she wasn't a part of the dealing with the Iconians. Or at least not with where we are in the story at the moment. She'll become an advocate for them afterwards I think once the promises of glory and such are tossed at her. Either she'll suddenly appear in Romulan space with her ship with these ideals, or will return at the head of an Iconian fleet in what will be yet another attempt to bring the Romulan Empire under one banner. It'll fail just given how fractured it is and will become just a crusade to wipe out anyone that's not lock-step with them.
In the meantime though, the Federation now has a huge humanitarian mission ahead of them as they start winning the hearts and minds of the Romulan people that will no doubt be kicked in the head to obey whatever Romulan elements are still battling it out with each other and Obisek who will be doing his part to strike against Romulans that are now threatening Federation humanitarian assistance to ensure Starfleet remains in his corner.
If it weren't for hintings at a playable Romulan faction, I'd be confident we'll see parts of Romulan space annexed by the Federation and the Klingons since the Klingons will hardly ever turn down the chance to expand it's borders, which would make the front with the Klingon Empire even larger.
I think it was hinted that Obisek might come back again, maybe as soon as the next weekly. The Iconians have been hinted at quite a bit throughout the game, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the weekly series has an endgame for us. (about freaking time too)
i think it would be nice if several featured episode series hint at the iconians and introduce several recurring characters that all come together when they finally release the iconians on us at max level.

Sounds like the Bajoran Resistance/Maquis.
Partisans will use every under-handed trick in the book to fight their "oppressors".
I too look forward to seeing our Reman friend again.
It's so rare to find an NPC in a game I can not only respect, but honestly become fond of. I would love it if Obisek became the official head of the Reman Splinter Faction, and became an important ally of the Federation in it's war against the KDF (haven't played the Romulan series from the KDF side, not sure how that storyline goes).

I felt much the same way about him playing my Klingon alt as I did playing FED. My Gorn Captain is much more sympathetic to the Reman resistance, because he is always plotting to free the Gorn from the tyrannical Klingons.
So I can arrest him for using Thalaron Weapons! How is he allowed to just get away with that! Yeah the Tal Shiar were doing it too, fine, I take issue with that too! Arrest them all!

Technically, he only acquired and stockpiled Thalaron Weapons, he never used them.
i personally think Obisek wont appear in STO for sometime because the next set of weekly's is probably in the Cardassian sector blocks (before series 3 it was hinted that series 3 and 4 would be placed in either of those sector blocks and S3 was romulan...so yeah) and of course series 5 or 6 is the Tholians, so we wont see him as early as next series but maybe in the other series of the Tholians (eg. Tholians is series 5 and Obisek could be in 6 for example, or vice versa)

but yeah, Obisek = epic
I don't expect to see him in a weekly series again for a while, but maybe just popping in out of the blue at the end of some new mission would be cool.

Yeah, Obisek was a sympathetic character, Imho. However, hopefully he isn't just a charismatic terrorist. He lost the Thalaron weapons in the Nopada system, hopefully (again) he doesn't acquire new ones. He could feature in a daily, maybe?
Maybe there will be a Romulan Weekly again, this time about the fate of the Enterprise-C. Obisek could have a cameo in that, at least. And Franklin Drake too?
Imho, recurring characters benefit the storyline and deepen immersion.

Would love to see him again during another feature series

As popular as he is he'll probably become STOs Alexstrasza *rofl*

For now however I think starfleet will have to keep the FNS very quiet about this to avoid damaging their PR to bad
T'nae is literally STO's Alexstrasza. (Same actress.)

I want to use Thalaron Weapons on my cruiser

/My to cents.
Countries have been invaded for less.
