I have to say, thank you Mr Stahl, for such an awesome game!
When I first started, it was boring in many parts, repetitive, lacking much substance, and I would never tell a friend to get ti (because I had almost nothing really good to say).
But all that has changed.
I was talking to a person and mentioned Trek and how I played STO when he asked me about it.
A year ago, I wouldn't be able to say much.
I started talking Featured Episodes, the crafting, the end game, the new uniforms, the revamps, refits, and all the new content.
It made me realize just how far you've taken the game. I was so happy that I made my first C-Store purchase. This is big for me, because when the Pre-Order thing (which I still maintain never had a good finish, and thwn how the Gal-X people got $105 worth of free C-Store stuff and we got jack) happened, I embargoed the C-Store! But now that the game is to a point, I'm willing to spend a few more bucks for STO!
Thank you Mr. Stahl and all of Cryptic for all your awesome, awesome work!

Thank you Mr. Stahl and all of Cryptic for all your awesome, awesome work!
Thank you but as you pointed out, the team deserves the credit. They work their arses off to make this game better every day. I'm hopeful that our future plans will both thrill and surprise you!

I'm happy about all the work ya'll put in (even if I'm still a bit anti-Cryptic).

I'm sure they will, can't wait to see what you've got for us.

That they do, but as they say in the theater, when you have one great performance you credit the actor, when you have two great performances you credit the director. Thanks for being good at your job.
I agree, the team has really done a great job with handling the delicate balance to make all of us Trek fans happy. I am really looking forward to the foundry being deployed on the holodeck. I am just hoping that we still add yet even more depth. I also really want to see what you all plan to do with exploration content. Love to all of you guys for making this happen after Perpetual!
The extra "oomph" time on the weeklies was a good call IMHO. You could feel that tingling sensation of awesomeness now and then. In this age of dulled senses, that is not a minor feat.
Pretty damn cool that you can post something like this and Mr. Stahl replies personally. You don't get that kind of treatment in every MMO. I'd like to keep the love going and say thanks to Dstahl and the whole team at Cryptic. You folks have made huge strides and really kicked serious behind in the last 6 months or so. I love the way the game is shaping up and am very excited to be playing.
To make even a small fraction of this very vocal (and very critical) fan base happy is a miracle, and I think you guys have done much more than that.
I don't usually post much on the forums, but... Ah, to hell with it. Ill chime in too.
I was around for open beta, and I only stayed for about a month before I called it quits. I just came back about a month ago based on the good press I'd been hearing and I'm glad I did. You folks have done a darn fine job making this Star Trek game actually feel like a Star Trek game since I've been gone. Kudos to all and keep up the good work! Can't wait to see what comes next.
I will no longer praise the dev team. Their rather insane idea for creating ways for people to exploit ways to spawn (seemingly) endless amounts of NPC spam has worn real thin on the PvP community, and the decent and really good PvPers are totally TRIBBLE off about it. I paid good money to have fun, and they have totally stripped the fun and challenge out of PvP. It's gotten so bad, that crowd control in some cases is no longer working well enough. I paid for a lifetime sub, and I'm beginning to regret that descision. The best I can do at this point is to discourage people from getting a LTS and/or playing this game altogether until they get their act stright and start listening to people and quit dodging the tough questions in

Dude if you have a problem, please make your own thread and don't hijack mine.
This is to thank him for his hard work, do not turn this into a hate thread.
It's not hate when you see a game you love ruined by poor quality control and customer service, and a general bubble mentality. Insulating themselves from negative criticism is the worst thing they can do, and ignoring problems is a bad business model. I have how many tickets open, and almost none of them have been touched. There are bugs that I haven't reported, but are obvious to all. Read the forums, and you will see it. I do appreciate what they are trying to do, but are seemingly fixing things in ignorance of how to make the game fun for all.
EDIT: That said, I would like a PM from Mr. Stahl or a GM or QA dev on these isssues so I can sort this stuff out and give my thoughts on constructive solutions so I don't threadjack you anymore. I apologize, and hope you have a good day.
... ...for making this a game that NON-PvP'ers can enjoy.)
I like the PvE, but I also enjoy PvP. A good MMO does not ruin one in favor of the other. See Warhammer Online for an excellent idea of what happens to a game when you ruin one in favor of the other.
EDIT: Hint: WHO is a spectacular failure, and is still losing whatever little customer base they have left.

The point of this thread is to praise what they are doing right, no one is insulating them from the problems.
And it is hate when you don't even thank em for the stuff they are doing right but then go on a tirade about how you won't thank em again. I applaud you for telling them what is wrong but don't hijack my thread to do it.
And please don't start quoting your own posts and tryin to make em take over the thread.
I do read the forums and I know the problems but that is not what this thread is about. Start a thread of your own, don't hijack mine.

As I said before, I apologize for the interruption, and will no longer ruin your thread. That said, I did enjoy the new ep. It was what people were clammoring for for quite some time out of PvE.

Thank you. I do agree with you that the PvP does need to be fixed. I'm hoping Season 4 will bring some improvements.

Yeah I agree. I was at the ST convention in Vegas when this game was announced..one of the first things I blogged about was this game will be different because I have never seen a group of developers who acted like they cared this much...I'm glad to see I wasn't mistaken.

Was that back at Perpetual or Cryptic?
On a side not, the name of the previous developers is funny when you think about it.

I agree completely. I've just started a Federation alt and the game is unrecognizable from the mess, lack of direction and lack of future it had at launch. Once the last lingering remnants of the old version are revamped, ground combat and exploration, STO will rightly deserve to hold it's head high in the company of any other AAA MMOs.
Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, you only get one chance to make a good first impression and STO failed miserably in this respect. Only some kind of wholesale relaunch could put this right, the switch to F2P perhaps (or a temporal anomaly that puts Mr Stahl in charge back in the closed beta timeline).

(still ran out of stuff to do again tho. hopefully foundry will fix that)

The fact that I have to wait a whole week for the next episode in a Featured Episode series to come out.
That's it. The rest of the game I'm quite satisfied with

The game was in Perpetual Development.
To all of the Cryptic Dev team... THANKS!!^^
