Aegis/Reman Shield/Klingons: a Thought

I play a Gorn on the Klingon side.
More than that, I try to soft-RP him as a rebel plotting for the fall of Quonos and the return of the Gorn Hegemony.

I like to use the Reman shield, the idea being that my rebellion and Obisek have an alliance under the table.

But in thinking about all this, and looking over the Reman shield effect I was stricken with an idea:

Break down the Klingon Aegis set.

Allow me to elaborate: Keep the engines and deflector as-now, and keep the current shield, but make the following changes:

*Aegis set renamed to Imperial Technology Set (The finest technology gathered from the empire and its protectorates)

*In addition to the Aegis, sorry IMPERIAL shield there would be variants consisting of:
** Gorn Imperial Shield
** Orion Imperial Shield
** Naussican Imperial Shield

Each would have slightly different (but no more or less powerful) stats than the traditional Ae.. *ahem* Imperial covariant shield and each would provide the same set bonus when working with the rest of the set.

Why do this you might ask?
The alterations seem too insignificant to justify it right?

Because the Gorn Orion and Naussican shields would provide, instead of the Tronnish Aegis effect, an effect similar to the Reman shield.

EG The Gorn shield would provide Gorn textures to any ship its equipped to, etc etc.

Cool, yes?
No?
Maybe?

It seems like a great idea; however, it would most likely take alot of work to just add a few color and texture changes to the shield effects.

In the long run I'd rather see the KDF get more meaningful content.

Still...... a very good idea :)

I guess it depends how much work it was to make the Reman shield.

If the tech supports a decently quick way to do this, its a fast way to inject added flair to existing ships.

Plus Aegis struck me as complimenting Fed design language, but not so much Klingon.
Vice versa, the Reman shield (I think) seems more in-place on Klingon ships.
