Whenever I've looked through the Foundry assets, I always felt like some of the assets like girders looked familiar. A couple weeks ago, I realized that we had almost all of the assets we'd need for a Golden Gate Bridge; they just need to be recolored red. We're basically just missing a bowing main cable and a red tint to a lot of existing assets. The suspender cables and piers are even there.
Some of the "alien artifacts" look a lot like the decorative sculptures from Perpetual's concept art (as do many buildings) and the fountain added to ESD seems like a stock fixture we'd expect there.
We're even seeing brick building assets that look not unlike the district we saw Sisko's in.
At this point, I think Starfleet Academy would be easier to make than a couple of the environments we saw in the last featured series.
And, y'know, I'd love it if they set some featured episodes on Earth, Risa, Andoria, and Rura Penthe to justify the needed environmental upgrades and assets.
I would really hope to have a new secondary tutorial (for those who already did the Vega one) that has you start at Starfleet academy. It would be really cool.
Consider this.
-We would start off with our cadet uniform on, (it wouldn't let you get a uniform yet), your best friend (we would pick and customize him beforehand and then he would be a choice fore your first BO) walks up to you and says that you will be late to a test.
-It turns out you're supposed to be taking the Kobyashi Maru test and you rush there. You are then briefed and you start the test. However as you continue with it an emergency alarm starts.
-You find out that Utopia Planitia is under attack (this would coincide with the mission Left star on the right).
- Was autoflagged as complete for existing characters and was available in mission replay. (Ditto the new Klingon tutorial being developed.)
- Also somehow advanced the story forward. Say, it's 2410 and Quinn dies in the new tutorial or is unmasked as an Undine/Iconian sympathizer/bluegill.
That way, it's new content for all players. It pushes the story forward like a weekly dioes.
Heck, I'd suggest BOTH the new Fed and Klingon tutorials should kill off an established major faction NPC and maybe have an accolade put in JUST before that so that old players can get a Holo-BO of the retired NPC, to "memorialize" their time spent working with them.
I dont think they would actually make the golden gate bridge, more so putting in as a part of the background in the distance. The map would be too big if they put the bridge and academy in.

Shuttle rides. You can take a shuttle between locations (with a few animated to take off then fly toward other ends of the map and disappear).
I, for one, would welcome Champions Online maps with that caveat.

that's all I got so far.

And maybe not even a BO but maybe a ship trophy ala Tasha Yar's holo memorial, for players who started before the new tutorial went into effect.
