I like the Reman BO.. fits very well with my main's back story.
One specific request, even if we can't get 'full customization' ... Can we get the option to lose the cape?? STO doesn't have "collision" so his cape is constantly passing through his legs (and will stay there if he's not moving.)
Until we can get some sort of collision detection, can we get a version of this officer without the cape??

Saith and Jolan'tru!
Nowhere in this thread does anyone say that they don't like the Reman BO...
One thing i dont like about it is that its nontransferable, you cant give it to another captain to train. So no different ltc or com skills unless your a science officer.:(

Real shame that. But then again it quells the rampant Exchange speculation that the Breen BOff inspired.
I like him, and although I have no objections per se to the standard reman outfit he has that reflects the ones we saw in the Nemesis movie I couldn't help but wonder why ours didn't have a comparable out fit to the rest of the Reman Resistance fighters we saw in this featured series seeing asthat is what he supposedly was.
I guess they don't want us at those assets yet until the faction is ready
Outfits aside though I DO wish they'd let us choose the Specialty of these series Boffs (i.e Science, Tactical or Engineering) if onyl to a) fit in better with what crew spaces I might have/want or b) to avoid the ARMY OF CLONES approach.
The look of these characters was established in Nemesis. Cryptic cant simply change that without CBS's permission. Any changes that are made are likely to make them look MORE like the ones we saw in Nemesis than what we currently have in game.

It's not just STO, the capes in Champions have the same problem.

One thing i have always hated of star trek and some other scifi franchises is that everyones individual look must equal its race/faction. Are you telling me that is the one Reman look?

Thats not my call to make. However, they WERE more than one Reman shown in Nemesis, and they ALL looked basically the same. So unless Cryptic gets permission from CBS, they cant change that.

This review is courtesy of my girlfriend, who knows nothing about star trek and is therefore completely objective.
And I quote "Why do you have a vampire on your crew now? Is that a cape? Hahhahahaa"
I could not respond. Let us change this guys look!
You should have told her that they were handing out Mini-Nosferatu Vampires as a reward now. And that these guys just hate sunlight, no screaming and running around turning into ashes in compliance with modern Vampyrism.
Completely agree with the other posters, I'd love to put my in a Fed uniform! Also, my Orion and Breen as well. Looks kind of weird, they stick out on my bridge!
Not to mention my Holographic BO.
I mean thats by far the dumbest to not be able to customise.
Its a hologram for crying out loud, you could make it look like a Kettle if you wanted to!
I renamed my reman to Klaus in honor of klaus kinski and werner herzogs remake of nosferatu!
I cant help but think the reman bo looks like count Orlock or a world of darkness vampire.
The script for Star Trek Nemesis compares the Remans to the "original Nosferatu", referencing the 1922 horror movie Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens. Indeed the Remans bore some resemblance to that film's vampire, Count Orlok.

Still got that movie on the well known Laserdisc format. *Cough*
And for the record must say it was slightly better than Nemesis. Sorry! Nemesis had better sound though.
You should think that handing over "officers" to military organizations that refuse to put on a uniform, might fall short on the requirements for such a service in the first place. But that's probably why the original was taller, no way you could draft him without a protest.
All of the no name Remans were the same. They didn't do headcasts for everyone and create custom applianced for them. They used a generic mass produced mask, and maybe various the makeup detailing for each actor. But they would be the limit of individuality they could do.

Yes, that is all common sense but thank you for saying it anyway. However, the fact is the RL explanation doesnt matter because once they put it on screen its canon until they decide to change it. And as previously stated, Cryptic cant just change it on their own without CBS's permission.

"Science officer Vlad, where is the...... uh are you drinking blood out of the replicator again? COME ON DUDE!"

Hmmm.. Odd.. I don't recall stating anyone had said they didn't like it either... funny that. :P

I'll bet good money that Obiscek will become the Romulan/Reman factions Admiral Quinn equivelant in thier version of Starbase One i.e Haakona.
Would be neat if they did probably that space station would be like the earth space dock for them too.

Here is a great example of what I mean:

I think you may have called it. The series definitely moved the playing pieces around to set things up for something bigger.

Mine asked me today why my ship was so slow (was playing my commander sci alt when she walked in) so I switched to Krizonar.
I'll show ya slow.
