I think this encounter might probably needing to be redone.
Few people actually know that that you get an accolade for shooting down the Scorpion Attack Flyer after the Engineer player encounters it. So perhaps increase the damage or have the Tactical hack into some Turrets or find a 1 round mini torpedo launcher in helping bring it down?
But I'll say this, it would've been cool to have a Scorpion being a boss in one of these episodes, you having to hide behind attacks, while counter attacking.
Perhaps something to think on with future episodes.
Doesn't it just fly away right after the cutscene? How do you get it to stick around?
It makes two attack runs against you after the cutscene. That's your window of opportunity. You'll want to use a high burst DPS weapon like a sniper rifle. It's easier if you're on a team, or have an engineer (for the Engineering optional bonus).
Got it, Pretty tough if you'r eon your own but we had a 4 man team (3 sci 1 tac) and that was enough to take it down without an engi. Happy hunting chaps

That or have it come around for another pass?
who's a jigga wah?
guess I'm one of those who don't know that there's something to be shot down. Something to do with only having done it with a Tac and a Science I presume?
Sort of, but its something you surely can't do alone. But Engineers really help taking that thing down by doing the Engineering Console.
When I did the mission for the very first time (solo), I assumed it was part of the Engineering Accolade in spicing things up. But the second time I did the mission, our group of 3 shot at it and brought it down, then saw the accolade. And we all were like, "hmm, didn't know that".
And when grouped doing the mission on my other characters, people honestly didn't know about the fighter accolade at all.
The other fighter accolade (The Romulan Rooftop battle with the Fighter), people blew up the fighter before you supposed and didn't realize there was an accolade for that either. So the team needs to tweek these things so you know "hey theres something about this fighter, shoot it" and the second one, perhaps putting up a shield around it so people can't shoot it until the shields are brought down by the console.
I think a rocket launcher type weapon would be nice. It would be even more awesome if you could control it in flight.
No, no, no. That wouldn't work.
Wait... I'VE GOT IT!!! Instead of shooting it down, you hit it with an EMP, kill the pilot, and then, if you're soloing, you get to fly cover your your BoFFs, and if you're on a team, one person has to fly cover for you.

I think there are some things that could use a little extra explanation (like the Engineering accolade) but allowing people to discover other accolades with no text is a cool little bonus thing.
My beef with the Engineering accolade is two fold: one, it's possible to get the cutscene before you're supposed to, just by walking across a catwalk instead of going to the ground; and two: there's absolutely no indication whatsoever that it's timed, or that it even exists until it's too late.
"But why would you stop following the virtual guide path just to go to another rooftop?" you may ask. To go exploring, of course! In a map like that, I kind of figured there would be some sort of accolade for getting places you might not think to go. Unfortunately that was not the case.
The other issue with that part of the mission is the fact that in the last episode, you had to hide from a fighter. I was trained by that episode to run away the instant I saw a Scorpion come strafing at me. Sure, I fired at it, even got a seeker drone on it, but they're supposed to be powerful enough that I should be afraid. Plus, once it flies away, unless you happen to see this thread, there's no indication that it's going to come back. Once it flew away, I left, following the virtual guide path like a good little mission player.
I would also like to see some testing done with that grounded fighter. The first time I encountered it, I had a sweet rooftop battle with the Romulans across the way - it was WAY fun! I defeated them all, then blew up the fighter, and still got the accolade. They had dropped some loot I couldn't get to, which was annoying, but I got the accolade anyways, so I was alright with that. I'm just curious as to how the accolade works - is it just blowing up the fighter, or is killing the Romulans also required (no matter how you do it)?
If yo do this mission low level its fairly easy to get this as the scrops doesnt take much damage at all.. but higher level this accolade isnt really all that soloable.

"Grounded."
And it's not supposed to be easy.
Not easy, huh? That explains things.

Getting to fly the Scorpion would be nice.
worf likes your idea

Thanks for the advice..It worked for me..
