no i rather, tear out slameks heart with bare hands
I felt sorry for Slamek . If you read thru the notes on the terminal in the arena control room, they did say he went thru holographic conditioning, so his betrayal was no great surprise to me. As far as Hakeev, he makes great comic relife lol. I mean seriously.....you have 2 escaped prisoners, a Federation ship hiding in a floating junkyard you unwisely created, and a downed starship 2 days journey from where they escaped from....where would you look first? The starship?...not Hakeev, he needed Slamek to TELL him we were there...duh. Kill him?...nah, put him in a cage and constantly laugh at his incompetance....oyes!
I'm hopingyou have to fight him with your bare hands somewhere really high up, maybe over some jagged rocks, so when you knock him off he can scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" like the 60's Bond villain he seems to want to be (just listen to him in Mine Enemy again if you don't get where I'm coming from). Failing that, a huge explosion in his lair just as he thinks he's won.
I honestly think it's going to be like "Frozen" where we get a choice (I for one will have an urge to kill him) to kill him or take him prisoner. Either way on the KDF side, he is screwed.:D
I'm hoping the boys at Cryptic do something creative wit hhim like maybe:
You fight him in a big space battle and think you kill him but the Iconians decide the yaren't done with him yet and gate him off his warbird as it's being blown to smitherines and he reappears unexpectedly in another feature series down the line.
Good villains shouldn't be easy to get rid of I can see all sorts of interesting possabilities.
I could see the iconians down the line somewhere capturing your captain again seeing him as the top one percent of the best of starfleet and wanting to see what it takes to break you, what it takes to kil lyou. You end up grudgingly having to work with Hakaev to escape both planning to do something nasty to the other as soon as you get the chance.
We need a couple really good long runing villains that we connect with that we just love to hate it makes that final climactic battle that much sweeter.

I agree with this whole heartedly. It's why I wish we had seen B'vat more and had a more dramatic battle with him in the end.
I ran that mission with my Terran Empire character. My first instinct was to throw the reman to the sehlats in the canyon and then move on by once they were well fed. To bad that wasn't an option. Traitorous little rat. If he ends as my bridge officer its strait to the Booth with him. Full duration. To quote Spock "what he did warrants death"

haha yeah. I think we'll be captured again and we'll be tied up and dangled over a water pit full of space sharks in a room with psychadelic lighting
Will they have lasers attached to their head?
Indeed!
What a shame Paul Lynde isn't around to play the role of the Hooded Hakeev
