Viral Matrix?

So what's the cure now? It used to be Science Team but they changed it to Engineering Team (which I still don't understand), and now nothing seems to remove it. Fighting Romulans/Remans is now an incredible pain in the TRIBBLE, between the endless holds (tractors, VM, tractor mines, photon pulse or whatever that is, and so on) and the ability to chain heavy torpedoes (I used SNB on a Warbird and he simply reoverloaded the torps about a second or two later) which now come in unstoppable salvoes.

I'm really getting very concerned about the direction this game is taking.

    Not only do I find Space combat against Romulans annoying, but I don't like to face them on the ground either. More often than not I find groups of Romulans with two or three medics. Even with my entire away team targeting a single green blooded hobgoblin, I have a hell of a time killing them. On a couple of occasions I have given up and left.

    I think the Space problems are poor design and the ground are just an oversight. Surely they wouldn't intend to have us face three medics (that can heal as well as they do) on a regular basis.

    Wait, it isn't science team anymore? No wonder I've been having trouble with these TRIBBLE.

    They changed the cure for Viral Matrix from Sci Team to Engineering Team for nearly a year now. It makes sense because it disabled your systems, which is an Engineering feat.

    The problem is, Engineering Team will rid the debuff but the debuff reapplies so if you use Engineering team right at the onset of the debuff, it will usually apply itself again after the "cleanse" wears off.

    this is a long standing issue. ETeam removes it. But it reapplies. So you either wait for the third phase of it. Or you waste the ETeam on it. It's basically not removable anymore.

    See, I thought of it as a computer virus, which meant Science Team made more sense to me. Besides, it's a SCIENCE debuff, which Science Team is supposed to remove, according to the description.

    Either way, it's as annoying as hell. In fact, it's starting to become as annoying as hell to fight pretty near ANYTHING these days. Between instant kill weapons, powers that work differently for the NPCs than they do for us, NPCs with more holds, more healing, more health and more shields.... Sigh. I could go on and on. They really need some design help out there these days, it seems (I refer to more than just Cryptic; many other game houses are TRIBBLE the pooch lately, too).

    mine thoughts too?! Ehwn did this happen? I have been blowing a Sci team as soon as I see it on me and wondering why it is still active! so now I know!

    It happened once you realize tha TRIBBLE only affected ship systems and Engineers are responsible for those systems.

    Also, Science Team is a counter to enough things on its own.
