Anybody else play it and when they get to the turbolift part, it shows outside the turbolift in the cutscene showing the lack of outer textures and other parts of the ship?
All of the surfaces in the game which are visible are only visible from one side. If the POV camera is not looking from the right direction, you won't see as it wont be rendered. Confused?
OK. Though experiment time. A cube is placed in game on ESD. The block has a wood texture on the outside surface. It appears to be a huge block of wood sitting on the desk. Now the POV camera move to inside of the wood cube looking out. The wodden cube now disappears. You can't see it as all. That is because there is not texture applied to the inside surface of the cube. No texture means there is nothing to render which means nothing to see.
It done all of the time in game. It's saves on computer resources. Basically if the player and his camera can't go into a location, there is no need to to put textures.

No, I am not an idiot, I know exactly how it works. I've been using computers and my family has been heavily involved with tech in general my entire life. Its probably best not to just assume somebody doesn't know squat before you post with a tone like you are talking to an infant. Otherwise you will make them very
What I mean is, is the camera supposed to do that?

Wow. Perhaps you should have specified then? I didn't read any 'tone' in their post, but I can certainly make one out in yours. Guess thats what they get for trying to help you out here.
As for my personal experience, there have been times when I've seen what you're describing, and other times where I haven't. I think it might depend on the camera angle you have before pressing the button at the end?
Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. (in regards to be). Welcome to my IT support hell. If I talk over their heads, there eyes glaze over. If I simplify it too much, I'm talking down to them ("treating her like she was a dumb blond" is an exact quote from one unfortunate occurrance). When I don't know, I'lll explain things at layman's levelm trying to be as complete as possible. And I try to be light heated about it.
If I offended you, I apologize. What you were asking wasn't exactly clear to me from your post.

It probably would have been better with the "Confused?" It had a very "your a child" tone to it.
I am sorry if I over reacted but I can;t stand being treated like an imbecile.

Great mission, though.
I asked had anyone else had this problem? How could I be more specific?

Well, I can only speak for myself here, but this:
...worked quite well.
So had I simply, asked "is the camera supposed to zoom out", I wouldn't have gotten "It does that in all cutscenes, you see the camera mechanics..."?
Pretty self explanatory.
"Yes, I had that happen as well"
"No, It doesn't pan out that far"
Dumbing something down after saying "Confused?" isn't very kind.
