Playing Coliseum made me turn on the music, because I heard from the STOked podcast that we were in for a treat... It was a treat and I thank the dev team very much for it, but I turned it down immediately when I heard the score from Unreal Tournament. I forgot that this piece of music was in there and I thought I was crazy when I first heard it months ago when I turned down the music because I just don't like music in games. This piece of music is UT's signature piece of music.. I am postive that its the main menu music in the original Unreal Tournament. Anyone who has played the original UT UT2003/4 and 4 will recognize it.
Anyway, It's there and there's no mistaking it. I found an old thread that didn't go anywhere from last year mentioning it with a load of other negative comments. Perhaps thats why it didn't go anywhere... Anyway, again, I think you guys should really ditch it and put something else in it's place, even it's just whatever that doesn't need licensing rights. Or even straight up pull it from the music rotation in the game.
I play with the music off anyway and only have FX playing, no outside music either, so I really shouldn't be complaining. It just bothers me to have another games music in our awesome Trek game.
EDIT: Not talking about the music in the mission... talking about other music I heard in sector space after the mission...
If you mean the music that is played when you are actually fighting in the Coliseum, that is not from unreal tournament.... its actually from a classic TOS episode called amok time where kirk and spock fight it out... its a classic trek signature tune....
If it is the same music then it means that unreal tournament copied it from Trek.....

nah it was playing when I was in sector space outside of that system. I had logged out just after completing the mission and I heard it this morning after signing in.
And now that I'm researching it more, maybe its by the same composer. I have been youtubing Unreal Tournament music and it's REALLY close, but not exact. I might have to retract my post LOL.
Turn up your music volume. It's got music from a TOS episode...it's no where else in the game.
Well I get music, but its only that generic (I apologize for being negative here: ) and horrible music that seems to play when no other music is available or music triggers are messed up.
The one with the very strange thrumming sounds in it thats more of a sound effect than a musical track.

It sure as heck isn't the Amok Time theme....
dont worry there are other people, including me who did not get to hear it. i have no idea why but ive played that mission like 5 times and no amok time music at all.

I've played that mission twice now on two different characters and heard nothing new whatsoever...
