I know there is supposed to be a war going on in this game, and even though it isn't the main focus even during a given combat scenario between one's ship and whoever the "enemy" is on any given mission where such is encountered, the "enemy"--even if they're Klingons--should use escape pods if they're ship is about to be destroyed. And players should be able to transport Security teams--a subject probably already in play in some other thread--to the attacking ship, as is done in Starfleet Command III, to try and take the ship. After all, the Federation, even during combat, would make every possible effort to capture even an enemy vessel, if possible. And when such is not the case, the hostile force should abandon ship if they knew destruction was eminent--unless it's the Borg in which case it's obviously a matter of heads or tails for whoever they're facing. Could make some more room for bonus Diplomacy points or the applicable.
Just a suggestion for future improvement. That, and it should be possible for players who become engaged in combat during a Scientific or Diplomatic mission to try and talk the attacking party down--as unlikely as it may seem in some cases, or for players to be able to disable an attacker if talk should fail instead of always having to straight up destroy every "enemy" ship players discover in-game--other than Borg ships of course--to earn bonus applicable rewards, points, etc, Even if it's rogue Klingons or whatever party in the Klingon Empire in this game has decided on combat over diplomacy in-lieu of the events of Star Trek XI. And in unsuccessful cases, the aforementioned idea, I think, would fit perfectly into this type of scenario.
Untrue.
Worf was rescued from the badlands in the 7th season of DS9 after abandoning a Klingon ship.
That ship had Escape pods? I recall seeing an episode of ENT where it was stated that the ship stuck in the Gas Giant didn't have escape pods, as Klingons would never abandon ship. Granted that was hundreds of years ago (current game timeline).
And Roach is correct, Worf had different values than a normal died in the wool Klingon has (so I am told many times).
Worf may have had different values, but he neither built the ship nor installed the escape pods. He just used one.
Also, the glory and honor Klingons like Martok have always been in the minority in the shows. More were self serving, many to the point of readily betraying their country and crew for the sake of their own gain, or even worse Gowron was willing to throw the Empire to the dogs just to belittle a potential political enemy. More still were simply outright violent, caring for bloodshed and honor be damned.

OK thanks for the clarification.
Of course you also have the Gorn, Nasuscaains and Orions in the KDF as well. Hopefully they'd have more sense then the Klingons when it comes to abandoning a badly damaged ship.

Because all humans follow the same ideology and have identical moral goals? lol
No race is immune to the personal beliefs of it members when broken done to the individual.
Alexraptor is correct. Fed tainted Klingons are known to abandon ships.
Um, Roach, in case you haven't seen that episode, the entire Klingon crew abandoned that ship. Worf just wasn't found as quickly as the others because he the last to abandon and was expelled by the explosion into a different trajectory than the others.

My statement twas a joke, hence the little ":p" thingy.
Farther down the thread I mention a lack of toilets being the reason for lifepods.
But No, its been a longtime since I have watched any TNG.

Oversight in engineering involving a decided lack of toilets.:p
