Klingon Feature Episodes--A Request

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
It's not unreasonable to believe that sometime in the future that there will be a Klingon Feature Episode storyline. The request is simply this...... please have Ja'rod play a main character in the story. I think he's an interesting character who should be "fleshed out" more. Plus, he could have a really cool VO.;)

Anyone else agree??

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks this.:p

Looks that way. Oh of all the Characters to "Flesh out" that was an odd pick.

Only attention the Klingons have received in the way of "Content" or "Featured Episode" was the Season 2 Add-on of a Trickle of PvE Content. That made up, apparently, for the Complete Lack there of up to that point.

So far STO seems to be getting more Populace boost from Universal Content rather than Faction Specific.

if you mean for both sides then its a bit of a no no as he is still in the council to an extreme for alot of players on the kdf side but saying that if the kdf were given the similar quests to stop him messing with genetics an that lot it might be a go ahead but after what the feds do with there quests for him what story is there really you could do with him because u kill him dont you at the end of it.

i can see a feature series being done around all the geneticly modified gorn an klingons that are runnin around lose as that would fit for both sides, like they have hooked up with someone or something and you have to go hunt them out and find out what there upto and there is a big mystery to what jar left behind, ps whatever happened to that doc u feds hunt down who did all the genetic work.

I support an occassional series of weekly mission designed from a KDF standpoint then reskinned for feds. It would be nice change of pace.

i like the idea but with only 11% of players with klingon toons (i've seen those figures quoted around somewhere) i think it'll be a long shot for this to happen.

KDF players are going to be left to make their own missions via the foundry, just you wait and see........

if they are an those figures are accrate u can damn well bet that % hits the floor if what u said happens. and then feds can enjoy fed v fed pvp cos thats all they will get.

11% pure KDF players maybe, but teh number of players I see when I log in is way more it seems.
Most fed players have a KDF alt, if only one, that the do not play due to the quasi-unfun nature of the factions grind and lack of fully fleshed content.

The Devs could very easily make a 4week series on the KDF's effort to undo the Undine from the quadrant and the story that we would have followed as part of that hunt to flush them out.

That would be awesome. And I agree that the 11% figure being tossed around (from where?) is not really representative from what I see, and I spend roughly equal amounts of time in both factions.

No real incentive to play KDF unless you love Klingons and their allies. I love Klingons, I just level very slowly because I'm trying to level crafting (Krafting!) too, and I HATE farming for mats. So much. So very much.

I imagine it just makes more sense from a limited-resource standpoint to develop cross-faction content, especially if we're going to see a Romulan faction in the nearish future.

Maybe Cryptic can select some awesome KDF Foundry missions and make them "official" as a sort of compromise.

That'd sure make a cool Klingon oriented feature series.

    Points for this idea!

The idea of a KDF based weekly cross-faction about the Undine should be possible.

I hope so as well, as I'm raring to start designing an idea I have for a KDF series.

Also note that a KDF podcast idea is in the works so the KDF and faction related races that make it up can get there ideas out to the public.
