Bridges need 2 things to make them totally awesome:

1: Canon engineering. Right now it looks like an opera hall with an oversized warp core in it.

2: When available for the ship type, BATTLE BRIDGE. Maybe make it a seperate bridge type for the Galaxy and Prometheus, or something. Especially with the Retrofit Galaxy, this would really make it feel like you can truely tour your ship.

The one thing I want on top of what your suggesting is this.

More interesting deck design and more decks.

I honestly wouldn't mind having 12 decks and their only be two visitable rooms on that deck.

The engine does not posses the technical capabilities to make rooms smaller than a football stadium. Sorry! :(

Have you seen the pics of TOS interior so far? They are a lot smaller (still big, but much smaller then the current ones).

The engine is fine, I'd rephrase it this way: Cryptic does not posess the resources redo/rescale ALL the interiors in the forseeable future.

You rescale 1 interior and half of the furniture there will be out of scale. You rescale them, but since stuff is reused throughout the game, you need to revisit and redo all those maps. When you do that, the other items there will be out of place, so you rescale them...

Don't hate the engine or the dev, hate the Domino effect!

Prometheus does not have a Battle Bridge.
It only has the main bridge, the other two sections are controlled by automation.

I already bought about a dozen bridge packs. Not one of them is smaller than a football stadium. Glad over a year later the TOS bridge will be a lot smaller. Does me and my huge list of outrageously stupid looking bridges no good though.

And yeah, I did see the pics of the TOS interiors. Looks amazing. Too bad my non-TOS interior looks terrible.

Also, TOS bridge or no....THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING. Why not just download a JPEG of the TOS bridge, set it as your wallpaper, and stare at that for three hours? That's about all you can do with your STO bridge. That, and look at Bridge Officers waving their hands five feet ABOVE the consoles, floating above their chairs or phasing their legs through them. Classy!

Guess you didn't buy the Prometheus Bridge Pack.

Fair enough! The Prometheus is finally a lot smaller and I DO like it.

The rest are an absolute joke.

One thing that would be a lovely addition would be the ability to have scripted, camera shake and console, explosions/sparks.

Fantastic if you had a mission where you return from a planet and went to sickbay or some area of the ship to do an analysis then get the shakes and sparks as you return to the bridge, even as far as to when you arrive on the bridge the sparks still happen until you sit in the captain chair.

    Such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSpT4_cJeAo

My B'rel's engineering is so big...I can fit a B'rel in it! :D

Okay, two things I need for my Klingon bridge.

    1. BOffs singing

    2. This guy bringing me Raktajinos!
