I love this shield. I have it on my star cruiser where my Aegis was and so far it has handling situations a lot better. It feels like it has a hidden resistance to some things which makes it so much more worth it.
Thank you cryptic for this shield.
The mission it came from was extremely awesome as well. I love ground combat. I enjoy it so much that i have my Skill Points split perfectly between ground and space. the fact that all I could use was Melee weapons made it so much better as well.
I hope you guys make more missions like this in the future and rewards that make our ships look different as well.
They are not Inferior to anything as long as you can find the hidden potential.

I hope this is true. Cryptic needs to confirm this!
Like the pattern, but does it come in Blue? I took it off fairly quickly when realized I had a blue rarity shield with the EXACT same stats already equiped before I got that reward. It looked good on my Excelsior, but Im not a green guy.

I can confirm that the new Reman shield makes your ship look so cool that it does improve your captain's confidence in battle and actually makes you just flat out play better.
(j/k - I'd need Chad to confirm if there's some stat not being shown here)
I got Aegis for almost all my characters, but it seems the Klingons and all delta flyers/captain's yachts will use this one.:D It looks awesome on the Chang bird of prey.

for the most part it does although I did notice it makes no change at all toe the Qul'Dun Bird of Prey klingon side, which I assume is a bug as the visual changes are noticeable on everything else?
Yeah, the shield is STEAK SAUCE!!! Actually, I haven't gotten to play it yet... maybe tonight... I just wanted to say taht something was STEAK SAUCE!!! I've kinda been on a "How I Met Your Mother" binge lately.
I'm just glad to see the devs understand the facts behind the shield grid. It's what is in the hull that makes your shield, not some "shield generator" in the bowels of your vessel.
Deflector shields operated by creating a layer, or layers, of energetic distortion containing a high concentration of gravitons around the object to be protected. On starships, the shield contained six sections, forward, starboard, port, aft, dorsal, and ventral. (Star Trek Nemesis) Shield energies could be emitted from a localized antenna or "dish", such as a ship's navigational deflector, or from a network of "grid" emitters laid out on the object's surface, such as a starship's hull. Since at least the 23rd century, deflector shields were essential equipment on starships.
I really like the new shield with the added bonus that it looks friggin awesome.
Could this be a heralding of the end of series reward? Could those schematics we picked up towards the end of the first mission be a 'clue' as to Reman item crafting recipes? I want more bada$$ looking Reman items on my ship.
The reman shield is awesome. When I got it an equipped it, I totally did not expect the light show and started babbling about it in the SSR channel. lol
Ful lborg set is better than new reman shield.Sure reman shield looks great and has bigger capacity but somehow group of -12 enemies killed me with reman shield. With borg set i had no problems.
Well, the only thing you lose is the tractor beam, + 5 to shields and the higher regen when replacing the Borg shield, so no biggie. It feels stronger somehow than the regular covariant shields, maybe it's just me, so either this one is stronger or the others aren't working as intended, lol. Perhaps it's just the fun factor that makes it feel stronger.
So is this an item that no longer scales? Should I wait to do this mission with my alt until he hits VA or can I get this later at higher levels from the holodeck?

You can replay the mission at each rank and keep getting the shields.

you'd be better of - in all likelihood - running the mission series when they're first offered so as to gain the missions end bonus item.
and as has been said, you can rerun missions if you so choose to gain rewards at a higher level.

Also I'm not too sure about the green and red impulses mixing together. Makes it looks too mismatched.
STAR SUIT UP!

without the reg, so
Covariant Shield Array Mk XI [Cap]x2
7,223, 10%bleedthrough, 120 / 6 seconds reg.
it has two different words in its name, and a glow, other than that the stats are no different from whats available in game already atm.
edit: figures quoted are for VA Tactical.
Except for a rather ridiculous bug in separated mode.
Also I wish they'd change the deflector to be a green lit version of the blue and white ring deflector.
On my Nebula refit, I'm getting 13.4-13.6 k strength, what settings and skills are you using? You should be getting 2000 more points of shield.

This is why your ship looks different with the Aegis and new Reman shield grids. And might help with some ppl's misconceptions with a "Tron" look.
No, the Nebu is a science vessel, it gets increased shield strength.
I imagine the mission pod looks amazing with this on....
