Me Engineer, Me Smash.

I just completed this weeks mission with a tac officer friend, and myself an eng, and I love the story, and it had a few fun game mechanics :)

But when we got to the class specific part, I felt that the eng role was not given any though :( while the tac had to go collect survival supplies, I was tasked with a kill X mission. Not only that but we had to travel a bit out of the way to get to my kill X. It just did not feel very role specific, I felt like I was delegated to an idiot barbarian.

So what gives? couldn't have us collect supplies to build a shelter or something dumb like that?

    My tactical training came in very useful using my new blade to carefully cut those trees into firewood. Though watching you go after that pack of wild beasts with such primal, feral acts, leaving the young to perish in the desert without their parents..... that's just cold :D

    My caitian pride..... not getting to hunt :(

    You DID collect supplies, meat is a supply, and you already had a nice big cave for shelter.

    I think what he meant (and I was confused by it too) was that getting meat didn't seem to be engineering related. It's not like we used our eng skills to build a trap or something.

    I think they mixed up the specific parts. Tactical should have been the kill x mission. Science should have been collecting firewood. Engineering should have been collecting some wood, then setting a plasma grenade in the wood and igniting it. lol

    I built a phaser turret and a seeker drone to kill the warriguls ;)

    That's what I was thinking doing that mission, it just seemed kinda off to me for the engineer to be the one to collect meat when that to me seems more like a tactical thing.

    Also spiders ;~;

    It's pretty funny since the spiders looked much bigger then the gourds.

    Anyone could have collected meat; might as well be the engineer (who will know how to cook it properly)

    I could see switching the tac and eng roles.

    I know, you think the Tactical Captain would be the one doing the hunting, while the engineer crafted a fire.
