From the looks of it at VA they are slightly better than the mk x purples, but a bit less powerful than the mk xi purples, though well worth it considering that the mk xi purples require 3 antithoron traces to make (at least the lirpa does, haven't looked at the bat'leth yet)
Whoa no fair! Can this Batleth be acquired in game any other way?
Also pics?
Hopefully they add these as some kind of craftable, like as the best of the craftable bat'leth/lirpa chain. Also, I wouldn't call it unfair, 1 for Feds and 1 for Klingons.

you can craft lirpa and bat'leth in game, though without the fancy reskin, you can even craft (as mentioned above) more powerful weapons than these two

I was going under the assumption the Lirpa was the normal Lirpa and The bat'leth was a special bat'leth. So I thought the Feds get thier c-store weapon in game and Klingons don't. But I was ninja'd by pics, so I understand now.
And we are one step closer to F2P now... selling weapons on the C-store.... tut tut tut.... Though saying that i cant wait for the update where we can buy these weapons ingame for 500 emblems each..... that will be awesome !

Ok they are fancy LOOKING weapons. We have the playable and normal version of those weapons in the game to be acquired by normal means.
Flashy visual flair and alike belongs in the C-store, if anything at all...
I bought these & now i really feel cheated. They are only uncommon green weapons. Everything in the C-store was Blue rare or Purple Very rare items. Why should someone spend real money for something less then what you can craft ingame? It should be a blue or purple to match what is in game.
I'm not asking for better then the ingame craftable, just equal. Or at least cryptic should make sure as label it as a uncommon green so that there customers are more informed. Just because Ferengi's are in game doesn't mean cryptic should run the C-Store like them.
EDIT: It does say they are uncommon weapons. I apologize. I guess I'm down graded from feeling cheated to just disapointed.

it is labelled as uncommon, at least on the website it is. i can understand who people might have glanced over the wording but it is there.
it also has several advantages. one it scales. no other hand weapon does and it looks awesome. thats kind of the point, not to buy some great weapon that others have spent time and effort crafting but to get something cool.
Heck, while we're at it, where hose sill spiked-club/gloves that Tasha Yar had to wear when she was fighting that woman on the Monkey Bars? I want that!!!!!!!:D

While it's certainly true that we're selling weapons on the c-store, this doesn't bring us any closer to becoming f2p.
These special melee weapons will level up with you, and look fancy, however, in order to get the best weapons in the game, you still need to earn them in game, and there are several ways to do so without having to spend any real life money.

Lirpa
Kristak Blade
EDIT: Oh, I guess if they just both special looking blades they are ok for the C-store...
How much BTW?

I presume you get both when you buy the pack in the store?
They look nice. Would be nicer if they came with trophies so you could hang them up in your ship.
you get both. there was only one pack to buy in the c-store.
interesting suggestion. I'll pass that along in case there's a chance we can do that.
And a trophy feature for these weapons would be nice.
I think/hope we'll get one tomorrow.^^

If it is bought... it's nothing but ...decoration.
I'm sure someone here has more at home. I'm not totally happy with the shape of my Mek'leth either.
We need the Mek'leth in game, btdubs.

Heck, I;d be down for the extending sword from JJ Trek.
EWWWWWWWWWW!
Well that's one purchase I'm not making.
