SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
So, while the devs have done an excellent job of adding more of the uniform variants to the C-store, there are still several things missing. Here is a list of uniform options that would make excellent additions to the game:

22nd Century Uniform
Flag Officer Variant (note the Tie)
Dress Variant
Desert Variant
Excursion Variant A
Excursion Variant B
Excursion Variant C
Registry Number Hat
EV Suit
Enterprise Era Rank Pips (unlocked with any Enteprise C-store Pack)

2230's Uniform
Duty Uniform

Mid 23rd century-2268 Uniform
Duty Uniform
Female Variant
Dress Variant
Excursion Jacket
Assignment Patches

2265-2270s Uniform
EV Suit
Assignment Patches

Early 2270's Uniform
Service Tunic
Duty Tunic

2270's-2350's Uniform
Service Jacket Improvements
  • Make the matierial thicker, it's too thin now.
  • Make it look like it's a jacket. Right now it looks like the Jacket and the Turtleneck below are the same piece.
  • Better cloth type
  • Better Badge
  • Customizable Ranks
  • Add a Service Ribbon option
  • Add a Yeoman's Honor Cord option
  • Add a Crew Neck option
  • Add a TNG Commbadge option
  • Add a no-collar option
Enlisted Variant
Vest Variant
Bomber's Jacket and Engineer's Vest Variants (comes as one pack, though either piece can be used independently or together)
Field Variant
Excursion Coat
EV Suit

2350's-2360's Uniform
Duty Uniform
Skant
Flag Variant A
Flag Variant B
Dress Variant
Medical Overcoat
Medical Variant

2360's-2370's Uniform
Flag Variant A
Flag Variant B
Engineer's Overcoat
Combat Jacket (please help me find a better picture)
Excursion Variant
Flight Suit
Undershirt Variant (Male and Female)

2373-???? Uniform
Flag Variant (With both the Rectangular and Oval Belt buckles)
Dress Variant
Captain's Vest
Lab Coat
Desert Variant
Combat Uniform
EV Suit

2395+ All Good Things and Endgame uniform
Admiral Janeway Overcoat (Close-up picture and full body Drawing)

Klingon Uniforms
2150's Officer Uniform
TOS Variants
TOS Movie Uniforms 2365 variant
Martok's Variant

So here's what I propose as far as how to add these to the game (with a pricing scale):

New C-store Packs
Federation Costume Pack: Lab Coats $ - Includes the Medical Blue overcoat, Engineering White Coat, and B'Ellana Torres' Overcoat
Federation Costume Pack: Flag Officer $$$S- Includes all of the flag officer/Admiral variants
Federation Costume Pack: Dress Uniform $$$-Includes all of the Dress Variants (except for the TOS dress uniform, which is already being included in an upcomming pack)
Federation Costume Pack: Wrath of Kahn Premium $$$$- Includes a redesigned Premium WOK uniform, as well as all of the other 2270's-2350's variants
Federation Costume Pack: Early TOS $- Includes both the Male and Female Duty Uniform
Federation Costume Pack: 2230's $
Federation Costume Pack: Early TNG $$- Includes the duty uniform, skant and Pulaski's variant
Federation Costume Pack: Extra $$$$- Includes all Excursion, desert, and flight variants
Klingon Costume Pack 1 $$- All Variants from this thread

Old C-store Packs
Wrath of Kahn Basic (Free)
Federation Costume Pack: Enterprise (22nd Century) and Mirror- Add Registry Number Hat

Price Scale
$- 200 Atari Tokens
$$- 280 Atari Tokens
$$$- 340 Atari Tokens
$$$$- 400 Atari Tokens

Personally, I really want the Registry Number Hat, Bomber Jacket and Engineering Vest, Dress Uniforms, and Flag Uniforms. And a Premium verstion of the WOK uniform would be great.

Anyone think that some of the Excursion variants would make good uniform options for the game? I was contemplating rather or not I should add them and decided they might not be neccessary, though if the masses want them, I have no problem with it. I rather like some of them.

Great ideas but as I said already in another thread, beside your ideas we also need:

    - TOS rank insignia

    - TNG 1st & 2nd season duty uniforms (including female skirt variant, perhaps also male "skant" variant)

    http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4548/farpoint1181.jpg

    - "Yesterdays Enterprise" alternate universe uniforms (male & female)

    - DS9 combat uniforms (male & female)

    http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/7687/jakesiskoandburke.jpg

    And more options for Klingons:

    - slash with selectable badges (male & female)
    - stole (male & female)
    - overknee boots (male & female)
    - skirts (female)
    - metal bra (female)
    - fingerless gloves with spikes (male & female)

I'd love to see all of those in game. I wouldn't necessary buy all of them since they don't all appeal but I would buy many of them.

Though I think the Admiral variants need to be added free since we're all admirals. Or at least some and the others be added to the specific packs or be united in one pack.

I already planned on adding Klingon options when I had the time, but I don't know how I forgot about the early TNG duty uniform. Thanks for reminding me. I'll add more later tonight.

Yeah. I'd buy several as well. Some for different characters for instance. I'd love the medical overcoat for my Chief Medical Officer boff, and I'd like the Bomber's Jacket and Engineer's vest for my Engineering alt, and so on. Also, it would be great to have all of these just so I could see them on other people. Variety is the spice of life and all that jazz.

Yeah. You're right about that. It really is kind of sad that the 2230's uniforms and the Kelvin type, which are the the only new things that are Prime Universe canon, can't be in the game because of a rights disagreement. Such a petty dispute.

The 2373 dress uniform is the Ambassador coat (or rather very similar). It would be nice, however, if we could put TNG/DS9 style pips on the collar instead of on the chest. And We could keep the gold piping around the chest and just change the color bands on the wrists.

I also think that we should get TNG movie variant Flag uniforms for free since the rest of that uni set is free. But that's just me...

The TNG set wasn't free as far as I know. It's in the C-store and was available as part of the either the DDE or CE versions of the game (I can't remember which).

Also, I haven't made it to max diplomacy level yet. I was gone for 7 months due to a busted computer and haven't had the time to unlock it yet. Could you post a screenshot of it? Thanks in advance.

I got it with the CE, but I think the DDE also had it.

The Ambassador on Earth Spacedock is wearing it; he'd be in Admiral Quinn's office.

Oh, yeah. I meant the TNG Movies ones, not the TNG series ones. (With the gray shoulders and colored collars.) Sorry for the confusion.

Here's a screeshot taken from Blackavaar's canon color guide (it was just quicker):

I see, it is very similar to the TNG movie dress uniform. I really do like that dress uniform, it's the best of the bunch IMO. I'll have to redouble my efforts to obtain it. It takes forever to level diplomacy with only the Breen daily and the infrequent 10 xp missions Jiro Sugihara gives you.

I have to admit, I am averse to adding more TMP stuff. The uniform was a disater. Most of the actors and crew working on the film didn't like it, most of the fans didn't like. However, I will add it to the list in the next update since there are sure to be some that want it. I'm adding the skant as well since someone suggested it, even though I vehemently oppose it being added to the game.

I wouldn't mind seeing the 29th century uniforms just because they're unique.

They are pretty cool, though it would be hard to explain exactly why they are being used by 25th century officers. They already wrote in an explanation for the current uniform variety, but that wouldn't apply to future uniforms.

I still think the game needs a Featured Episode Series based on the Temporal Cold War. Then we'd get to see the awesome 29th century ships and they'd sort of have an excuse to give us the uniforms as a mission reward (though it would be hard to explain why the future Starfleet officers are corrupting the timeline by giving out future items, even if they are just cosmetic like a uniform).

    TOS Enlisted jumpsuits.

Yesterday's Enterprise / Jack Crusher variations of the TWOK uniforms, including no-collar version, and access to TNG combadge

TNG Skant, for women and men too. Just cause it'd be fun.

    Bajoran uniforms.

    Voyager "jacket off" tank-top variants.

    Environment suits from all eras.

I wasn't aware there was one.

I considered adding the collarless variant, might still. I thought there already was access to the TNG badge?
TNG Skant, for women and men too. Just cause it'd be fun.
*shudders at the thought of men running around in skants*
    Bajoran uniforms.
Aren't the Bajorans members of the Federation now? I'd have to check the Path to 2409 section in my STO novel to make sure, but it makes since that they wouldn't have there own uniforms anymore if theyare a part of the Federation. They were kind of ugly anyways.
    Voyager "jacket off" tank-top variants.
I considered this, but since the tank-top was never seen with rank pips, I decided against. I could still add it though.
    Environment suits from all eras.
I actually asked the devs about this many months ago and if I remember correctly, they said that they liked the idea, though it would require new tech in order to "force" players into them for missions with Environmental hazards. Haven't heard a word out of the since then. I'll add it to the list in the next update.

Pulaski's Medical Variant was season 2 TNG, which would make it early TNG Uniforms. Along with the Skant.

Just one thing to add to the list:

    All Good Things Over Coat

    Fully Body
    Close Up
    Tailor Concept

    Whole Heartedly support this list.

Pulaski's Variant is in the Early TNG section of the list. Oh wait, you mean the early TNG pack. I'll change it.

Thanks for reminding me about the All Good Things overcoat. I always did like it.

That coat would be boss. And at the same time, they could include the Dahar Master's coat and the sleeveless robe that most high-ranking warriors seem to wear.
