How should I decide what ship to buy with my 1200 C-Store points, I can't choose between excelsior, nebula, Intrepid refit Etc. How do you all decide?

I would advise against the Intrepid/Galaxy/Defiant Retro, as that's the easiest to get in-game with a free retrofit token you get at Vice Admiral.

This leaves the Excelsior and Nebula. For what I've heard the Excelsior is one of (if not, THE) best battle-tank in the game, favored by tacticals and engineers for its survivability and prospects for damage. The Nebula is used by scis and engineers, and specifically in PvP to help detect cloaked Klingon battlegroups.

This all depends on playstyle, what class do you like to play the most often?

Um I do the inverse. I get C points when I want to buy something specific.

Personally, I'd go for the Excelsior if you "have" to pick one. The Excelsior is currently the only ship that's C-store only (though it's being added for marks in the next patch), plus it's grown on me a lot in the last few days. I'm using the Commander version right now on one of my lower toons, and it's a lot of fun. Feels almost as strong as an escort, and twice as survivable.

Normally i'm an engi in a science ship, but i normally work alone, so the excelsior sounds like a good idea for me.

    Thanks.

The Nebula is used by scis and engineers,

i made a pretty cool tactical nebula, it can be done but people tend to look over that one but its a hard ship to get right. i would not recommend that as your one and only choice.

the intrepid can be claimed for free via a token so id pick the excelsior if your looking to buy one. its a powerful ship and pretty cool and suits all careers.

Go Excelsior. You will not regret having a Lt. Cdr. Tactical BO on a cruiser. Besides as stated, the other ships mentioned are also available through ingame means (ship tokens, emblems, et al).

I don't think you can put your Lt. Cmd in an Excelsior, especially the one from the C-Store.

    Facts:
    - You can find a Tier 3 Excelsior in the game at Commander level purchaseable for energy credits.
    - The C-Store Excelsior is Tier 5 and you must be at least Rear Admiral to use it.
    - The Excelsior, Nebula and every other ship in the C-Store (except Galaxy X) is now or will be available soon in the game for Marks/Emblems, so you don't have to spend Atari Tokens on them unless you want to skip the grind.

So perhaps if you have vast quantities of emblems or marks you can use those for your ship purchases and use your Atari Tokens on something else you might like in the C-Store?

ya the excelsior does have a tactical Lt Cmd slot. I think that's why its liked so much I like it at least stuck bo3 in that slot. I will say it all depends on what you want to fly and how you want to play. So far my favorite ship is still the fleet escort. I've not used any of the refits for any great length of time but as for the ones in the c-store like a few other people have said the two that seem to stand out right out off the bat is the excelsior and nebula.

I’ve used the excelsior more I've only played with the nebula for a few days now. So far I think the excelsior is a better ship for the most part. My not digging science ships in general might have something to do with it.

keep in mind according to tribble release notes, the excelsior will also be released for emblems, although I don't know how many.

    Excelsior for definite!

No other ship hits as hard and can survive in a fight as well as this. I am rocking one myself as an engineer and it really is that good!

Yes you can on the C-Store variant, not on the T-3 version.
