Klingon Disruptor effect

I was thinking, since the TOS phaser gets a special effect for vaporizing, and vaporizes everyone, and you guys are all for Klingon equality and all, maybe you could make the Klingon Disruptor do that too. Vaporize on every kill, and make it look like it did when Kruge killed his tac officer in Star Trek III. You wouldn't have to do much to the current effect, just maybe slow it down (Not necessary, but it would look awesome) and have the light effect shine from their eyes and mouth. I was disappointed at the lack of this, and I think it would be a great addition. What do you guys think?

    Hmm. Didn't know the Disruptor was lacking this, as my KDF is still on 'What Lies Beneath'.

    I'm all for this. I think the existing vaporize FX (as in standard) are pretty close though, really. It would be cool to have it finish the enemy off like that every time.

    That was probably one of the best scenes in that movie. "A lucky shot, sir..."

    I liked a bit later when Kruge says "nothing happening here" right after fighting off the giant worm thing.

    The disruptor effect sounds just right. Hope they can make that happen without too much trouble.

    I'm all for this, it wouldn't take too much to just bind a special short range beam effect to the eye and mouth locations.

    I think all vaporizations should be unique to the weapon. Even just a recoloring would be great. There was an episode of TNG where we saw Romulans vaporizing each other with their disruptors, and it was a distinctly green effect. Something like this.

    And the phaser vaporizing sound in STO is all like, Fuh-SHWAAAANG! LAME!

    But yes, I absolutely agree on this point. The disruptor sounds DO need to have their own unique sound/vaporizing graphic. I would love that for all the weapons. Like for plasma it would be neat if their vaporizing graphic was more like an INCINERATION, as opposed to a vaporization.

    Wouldn't mind seeing unique shield colors for both space and ground. The Borg personal shields just aren't the same without the familiar green shimmer effect.

    For plasma, I imagine something more along the lines of "melting" the enemy.

    Ok, well you may be right there, but it already disintegrates people in the game, just not every hit, like it should. And, if it's going to disintegrate people its should really cool, and look like it did in Star Trek III, Right?

    Not asking for it this second, know you guys are busy, but I would love to see weapon specific Exploits with, say... Season four?

    I haven't used my TOS Disruptor yet as I am I am still working on finishing the series with all of my alts first. But if it is indeed lacking this effect, I agree, it should be added.

    Ummm i mean no disrespect but you dont want the tos phaser abilities I use mine all the time cause it being tos is uber cool to me but to me its a very week weapon, way weeker then it was in the weekly episodes, if they had made the ones they gave us as strong as the ones in the weekly episodes was would be great but there not , infact i have the disruptor on my klingon character and i think the klingon disruptor is a bit more powerfull

    I agree with Martok, unique animation/sounds for each weapons (i.e, aside from Disrupter or Plasma, how would it look with Polaron or Tetryon weapons).

    Also, how does one acquire the TOS weapons? (I just came back from after a 7month hiatus lol, and the only TOS thing I have is the classic ship).

    TOS Klingon disruptor does actually have a vaporize effect, but it is the same blue silhouette as the original series type 2 phaser. I really like the air distortion at the muzzle and when it hits the target, and a vaporization effect along those lines would be great.

    I'd also like to see a knock back effect like in ST:III where Kirk blast's Kruge's last guard on Genesis. Feet off the ground and all. And bring back assault phasers! Phase out the TNG Dustbuster!

    I agree, but not only this. The sound effect of Klingon disruptors in game needs to be changed to the canon sound heard in DS9.

    Maybe not though, because it's the old TOS disruptor, so it wouldn't really be canon that is would have DS9 sound fx.
