My game keeps crashing...

I haven't been able to get on since Thursday. The game loads fine until it gets to the character selector. Then it freezes before the page fully loads and crashes with this error.

ERROR: DV: Unable to find patchxfer.log

I don't think it's because of the new patch because I could play fine on Thursday when it came out.


I've tried literally everything I can think of.

- turning off and turning back on my computer
- uninstalling and reinstalling the game
- uninstalling and deleting the cryptic folder then reinstalling
- updating my drivers
- deleting old stuff I don't use anymore (my memory was really low)


If anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome!

    Try starting in safe mode! Sounds daft - but it may help. I mean starting the game in safe mode from launcher options - you could try the PC in safe mode too! If it works in safe mode or if you think it may help, try rolling back your comp with a system restore.

    When you say memory really low ... assume you mean hard storage capacity - as in hard drive space as apposed to RAM - which is a whole different kettle of fish!

    when the launcher comes up click options

    one option will be safe mode check mark that then click engage when rdy

    Safe mode didn't work either. Neither did force verify.

    You actually may be on to something here... I was having all sorts of issues with the Pre-patch until I uninstalled my patched Beta Client, and reinstalled off of one of my Retail Package DVDs... Older buggy code, and the accumulated file damage caused by Grand Mall System Crashes build up over time...

    Have you tried uninstalling the game and re-installing?
