please add carrier ship availability to star fleet side.

    It will probably only carry Danube-class shuttles.

    Please do not add carrier ships for Star Fleet and keep as many differences as possible between different factions.
    You may add something like a support cruiser to support other friendly ships like a real healer or buff class. Or something like a torpedo boat with a special slot for an additional torp launcher without activation global torp launcher cooldown.
    But keep as many differneces as possible between the 'different' factions otherweise they won't be different at all.

    Though I'd say that you can purchase fighters at the exchange.

    it's canon that Starfleet used Peregrine class fighters during the Dominion War and were most likely carried aboard the Galaxy class or Nebula class starships between deployments due to the large main shuttlebays on both ship classes, though behind the scenes info shows that the Akira class was also designed to be a carrier as well as a torpedo ship. So the Federation already has 3 starships in canon already known to be capable of having carrier capability as well as a dedicated fighter already seen in use on TV.

    All STO needs to do is either add a fighter slot to tier 4 or tier 5 starfleet ships or introduce flighters as a learnable skill for federation captains or admirals.

    this point is rediculous considering there is already carriers in the game and in the whole backstory of st, keeping them from the players is not keeping the fleets different its cutting off a much needed tank from the star fleet side of things. it already exists just give it to the players.

    then play a klingon, only if you do it after the patch you will be disappointed entirely as the carrier looses any sort of viability with the changes coming in the patch, and the cruisers are better effective tanks then carriers are, I could easily stay alive longer in a neg,var then i would in a carrier.

    they should just make the star crusier into the carrier, hell its big enough, and strong enough.

    Yeah i got to disagree with this, if cool having ideas and such but it would be a move in the wrong direction.
    Startrek remains unique in the fact it is so very different on all sides, best keep it that way.
