Sashes exist on the Klingon side, but the character has to be Co or better I believe, in order to have a metal sash like the one Worf wore. He doesn't have a Bat'leth because you didn't buy him one off the exchange.

You can equip Bat'leths on any of your Bridge Officers, not just the klingon ones. But, getting them to actually use it is tricky. For some reason they'll only use it if directly attacked at melee range.

Or you get them into melee range with Sweep the Leg, or something like that. It's finicky, though..you have to micro-manage it, which sucks all the fun out of it.

Personally, I'd like my Klingon captain and his 4 Klingon BOs (Fed-side, baby) to be able to Hassaaaaan chop! their way through missions.

BOs won't use a melee weapon until they actually get attacked in melee. So using melee weapons on BOs are pretty useless.

A Klingon bridge officer can't even USE a Bat'leth when you equip them with it, they just run around and do nothing in a fight. No other melee weapons are in the game, even though on Ganalda (where REAL Klingons go) they are sitting right on a table on display...um no, no Mek'leth or tIk'leth or anything else.

Didn't you know? This is Federation Online.

Well they need to change it. and we need to send a ticket to them. My klingon BO is no Klingon if it can't relate to his roots

An easy solution is to make a Klingon Char, if you don't already have one, buy the items you want on Qo'Nos and put them in the mail to your Fed Char you want to issue them to staff....

A Kit would be great for staff, but I don't see that in the cards.

Just wondering, don't the BOFs already have the attacks etc. that give them what we have on kits? Or do you want it for cosmetic purposes? And would a Klingon really bring a knife to a gun fight? Ive never seen a Klingon in a moveie or series with a Bat strapped to his back.

That is so true, however in real life there are situations where one could use knife and win over the gun.

Guns have safety switches and you don't walk with loaded gun or firearm that has safety switch off when you don't plan to use it, simply for safety reason.

I assume the same thing would work for phasers. If the weapon is holster and with safety switch on it will take you some time to take it out safety off and aim and fire. If I was Klingon with a sharp weapon say 25 feet away from the enemy after beaming into enemy ship I would use it first and then take out my disruptor weapon.

PS. This is why soldiers still carry knifes and will have them for a long time to come. In some situations there is just no substitute for simple knife over firearm.
