Ship Color Customization

This is a call out to Cryptic to look back on its past with customizations.

In CoX you had a simple button that would really make a difference in STO:

Copy Current Colors Across entire Body (or in this case, ship)

We need to have the ability to color specific parts of our starships. Not all or nothing.

Very frustrating.

So Cryptic, please revisit that great ability you had with CoX and bring it to STO!

    Hell, I would love to see some Bright colors. Those muted colors suck rocks.

    The federation fleet needs to have a uniform feeling despite the customization. Cryptic has laready given far too much freedom in colouring ships IMO.

    Otherwise you would have a fleet of bright green and pink fleets more represantative of hippies than the federation.:p

    I'd just like the addition of various lighting options when selecting the ship colors. What might look okay via the customization screen can look totally different out in the real world.

    I agree, a bright pink Galaxy class ship would be pretty scary.

    Oh I agree about limiting the colors. I just want the ability to apply color patterns to ONLY the nacelles or the pylons...not the entire ship.

    Should be able to do this using the advanced tab in the ship customizer. Each hull part can have a different color pattern or none at all. Just set the pattern to none for the areas you don't want to have the pattern.

    Different pattern, yes. Apply only ONE color to the part, and not have to apply the color to the entire ship. You cannot limit it at this time. ex. I have Dark and light gray for the saucer. On the nacelle I want Dark green and light gray.

    Hope this is making sense.

    I don't care if they ever implement this. It's hardly a game breaking element.

    I want more ship models and equipment options as well as missions with greater variety and opportunity to complete with acceptable payout (Supply Missions; I'm looking at you.) for the effort put into them.

    Lovely idea, I am all for it.

    For complete cake, I would love to see more possible different parts from which is ship made... Even better variability etc..

    That last one makes me think of the 'Whose Line is it Anyway" set.
