Connecting to the login server timed out

I was online in game got kicked out and gor the last 4 hours get Connecting to the login server timed out.
Is this happening to anyone else?

    The connecting to server time our error is happening to me as well. The US proxy server was down but it now back up and the problem is still happening.
    Edit: The launcher says that it is trying to update and just runs in the background. Dont even have the option to log in.
