Subscription Required?

Is there an additional subscription required to access the game? I bought a retail copy, entered my code and now it's prompting for a game card. Any suggestions? Because I'm not buying a game card for a game I haven't even logged in to...

    Installed the game even gave it my cc info and says billing error and wont let me play this is bull TRIBBLE I just payed 50 for the game supposed to get free month and cant play

    There is a monthly sub, thats why they offered a year and lifetime sub options.
    Most MMOs charge monthly rates, this is to make it worthwile for the company to release updates, expansions and do regular maintanence through the life of the game. Even free2play games need some form of payment to make them enjoyable, just be pleased that all you need with sto is %15 a month to have the same access to the game as every other user.
