Boff races available

I have recently seen a few races available for bridge officers that tend to be slightly more rare.

My question is

Does anyone have a list of all available races ?

Where do you obtain these different races ?

    Actually, I was wondering this myself. Last night I was awarded a Klingon Engineer which confused me (I'm playing as the Federation). I thought Klingon's were Klingon faction only.
