I'm thinking of upgrading to this card from a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE because my graphics are TRIBBLE with it. Would a Nividia GeForce 9800 GTX be ok or maybe a GeForce GTS 250?

Thanks,
Mulciber

Someone I think in this very sub-forum upgraded to a 9800 GTX and said the game was running like butter.

I think you should be fine.

The 9800GTX works awesome on this game and the temps stay low at about 50c. Go for it:)

I also have the 9800GTX and let me tell you... it's AWESOME.
MAX graphics ALL the time, ... well when the server is up anyway.

    It's a great investment and you'll enjoy the pay-off.

make sure you get the good version with at least 512mb ddr3 ram, and not the cheap TRIBBLE ddr2.

I have a 9800 GTX. Just make sure your power supply can handle it.
My PS was right at the minimum required wattage and it blew a few days after installing the card. I have a 650 watt now and no problems.

I have 2x 9800gx2's for Quad SLI, and have also tried 2x 260gtx's

Space is great but ground combat and in stations is horrible. What drivers are you guys using ?
I have tried the 190.XX versions and the latest ones.

The EVGA GTS 250 1GB runs it no problem, I had wanted GTX 260s, but nobody had them in stock when I needed to order so I'm just making due w/ the 250. And honestly it is way more than enough for STO and the other games I play.
