OK so just hear me out here.
My idea is for a TOS themed Event (maybe run a Doomsday weapon raid or a First Federation event).
The reward would be a choice of TOS weapons ( FED, KLING or ROM). So essentially every time you redeem the reward you have to choose which set you get (one time redeem per toon only though).
What event would you run or what reward set would you choose?

The ideal case for a new event is that at least some of the content is already available to bundle as existing options...So yes, it exists. I took that as the point.
Miner instabilities would be an easy add because of the TOS theme and complimentary ground option. For the third option: whatever the name of the V'ger assault TFO was. TMP is close enough.

This I'd do away with though. There's no point to play hardball with players like this. The "weight" of the choice is entirely artificial and sets up a hostile pressure dynamic that does not induce further engagement. It's the epitome of a "TRIBBLE move", and while it's expected of the F2P/live service genre, STO's most definable niche beyond the branding is not taking the hardest route possible with player engagement. At the game's best, it strikes a happy optimum between letting us have independent initiative (see. builds, customization, crew building, event choices and minimal requirements for daily play) and structured things to justify spending lots of time with the game (see. having events, endeavors, and various systems to grind).
Just give players all three weapons and let them reclaim as they will. Be nice to folks.

I could see this working. I would just like some more love for TOS themed content (especially for high end builds for all 3 factions)

A great time to bring it up again if they don't make any moves here is when Cryptic/DECA dives into SNW content in episodic or TFO content. There's a bunch of stuff to capitalize on from the series, but a lot's already been pushed to lock boxes. Diving into TOS stuff, perhaps mixing around ideas from the classic and reinterpreted (aesthetically) era, could help populate events and give players something exciting to go for.

the doomsday machine TFO already exists. https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Mission:_Days_of_Doom
