Invalid username or password STO Launcher

STO launcher says invalid username or password when I load up the launcher from Arc. I am able to put in my password and log in however and launch the game without changing my username or password. The same goes for Champions Online with Arc. Anybody else have this problem?

    Yup. Same thing here. I had to log into the forums too.

    Same problem, worked perfectly fine yesterday but not today.

    Changed my password to see if that would work, can sign into ARC and the website but not the game. :(

    Same issue here. Tried the change password thing. Luckily I can Sign in to both ARC and game ... Phew.

    BTW this should really of been posted in WINDOWS AND GENERAL: PC, NETWORK, AND OTHER TECHNICAL ISSUES @darkbladejk could you move please :smiley:

    Same here all day? cant connect??? WTF? Anyone. I left one more red alert mission to do today and pick up that award!!! Looks like the server is down. Is anybody heard something from Arc?

    It seems to be related to the Steam thing, I keep getting it when I boot up the launcher but when I retype my password it works fine. I wonder if it's trying to log in with your steam password (which should be incorrect for your STO account).

    EDIT:I could log just fine after retyping so the server should be up.

    Ha! Here in 10/2023 with the same issue. Has anyone found a fix. Where is my username stored, and how do we fix it. If STO and ARC don't know how to fix it. (But yes, I can play if I enter the username and pw manually) I'm thinking it has something to do with a perfect world carryover from the old days. I've played both on Steam and Perfectworld, so I'm thinking STO had schizophrenia! I've been online via email with Support for over a month now and still no fix. Now they're suggesting uninstall and reinstall everything. Not even sure how do do that exactly. I did that to get it working when Steam couldn't play it, and that didn't fix it. So, what will work, anyone know how to completely purge my computer from anything related to the game? All of STO with Steam, Perfect World and Arc? Any help much appreciated. Support can't fix it! (sigh) - Chip
