Relics Theory: Star Trek TNG S06E04 Relics VS Star Trek Generations

You know there is a HUGE plot hole in Star Trek Generations and the classic Episode Relics of TNG but I do have a theory "The Transporter" now here me out you know the line "Enterprise I be Jim Kirk Him self pull the Gal out of Mothballs just come looking for me" but in Generations we Saw Scotty Wittiness his dear Captain/Friend's Death on the maiden voyage of the Enterprise-B. then I kept watching the episode now and and I again its one of my faves but I might figure out something What if Transporter caused some memory patterns to disintegrate and Scotty forgot the time he was on the Enterprise-B here me out When Riker and Geordi Saw that there was Pattern still intact Riker said this "Its Completely intact with a 0.003% single degradation and that .003 could be the Memory of the Enterprise-B. With that small % no one would even could bother to check if there could be anything wrong with his memory since such small number.

It was because Relics in TNG was filmed BEFORE the script for Generations was finalised and filming began. Relics was aired in 1992 and Generations was in 1994.

It comes in at number 1 in this Trek Culture video on YouTube.

Also, what are the odds Scotty ever believed Jim was really dead? It wouldn't have been the first time Jim Kirk defeated his own end...

Yeah I saw that video and it also helped gave me the strong theory about it that he could have lost his Memories when you use a Transporter they must have at least 95% single strong enough for recompiling Franklin the poor lad had 52% single lost and in the Episode Rascals when Picard Roe Ginan and Kako went into the Transporter they lost more then 40% Mass and thus it reconstructed them as kids. its what gave me the idea that Scotty could have lost some memory pathways when he was Recompiled from being in data storage

It could also be a matter of the trauma suppressing the memory of Kirk's loss, possibly combined with the pattern degradation, so that Scotty doesn't go "oh wait Kirk's dead he couldn't have had come" due to his mind suppressing the event.

Since Scotty's memory otherwise seemed perfectly intact, it seems rather too convenient that the memory loss effects only the aspects that cause the canon-conflict and nothing else.

That said in the memory is suppressed to begin with a minor memory loss might make seem like a bad dream and Scotty's mind would dismiss at least until he had to think about it, it could also explain party why Scotty is so nostalgic over the "good old times", not only does there seem to be no place for him, all his friends are dead as far as he knows, including having personally witnessed the death of one them (well the likely death).
