Endeavours

The Endeavour system is currently the only section of the game we're no amount of spending will increase it. Currently for new players if they even wanted to level it faster they can't as it's about 4-5 years to max out the Endeavours completely. I feel it would be a good idea to have a way to purchase xp.for endeavors/purchase perk points for the Endeavours. This could be a zen thing/. dilithium thing like the rerole tokens being dilithium. For example one perk points could be 100k dilithium. This would make 600 60 million dilithium. That's just an example. it would be up to the game developers on how to implement this if they wanted too. This would allow spenders to level them with money spending more on the game increasing profits and farmers would have something else to spend dilithium on.

I don't mind either way, but then people will whine about "pay to win" even though there is nothing to win in this game.

Endeavors are supposed to take forever because the goal of them is to give you something to do every day even when there is no event or story content that you want to play.

I agree with dave. The endeavors aren't hard to do at all and you can skip or reroll the ones you don't want to do. I have many reroll tokens because I rarely use them. I always make sure that I prepare for the endeavors that I can do while doing story content/events, then do the others if I feel like it.

Nine times out of ten I'll skip the universal endeavor. Contrary to what some players imply, there's nothing at all forcing one to do endeavors. And I'm not even halfway to completion in some of them and I can still play content just fine. I'm just lazy sometimes and only fill an endeavor when it coincides with what I'm doing while ingame.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

The issue is any new player has to spend over 4 years of completing them every day to max anything and almost 2 years before the rewards are really going to show anywhere. It's not a grind anymore it's a pain. I'm an old player I've been in the game for a long time. I would rather spend my time doing TFOs then spending 10-20 rerole tokens a day to redo them so I can actually do them. The game doesn't make a ton of money and this would be another avenue for them to make more money to pay the devs more to release more content. Personally I would spend a good 1k to max my endeavours. Definitely. Even 1 dollar per perk points for example or make it a muds market thing so people can buy off sale or on sale. Or add endeavour bonus pool xp things like we have for experience and fleet marks and all that to help them progress faster. I don't want to spend 30 minutes a day for 4 years personally to max them. That's over 700 hours just doing endeavours. I could spend that time building ships or helping others in the community.

What? You mean that in this game where people complain that there's nothing to do after a while, there's a goal that can literally take years to complete? And now you want to take that away?

That's what it sounds like. Not like you need ANY Endeavor points to play the game effectively. I only do one or two per time I'm on when they merge with what I'm doing-think energy weapon damage, kinetic damage, destroy whatever ships are in the TFO I'm doing, heal hull and/or shields, etc.

If I feel like staying ingame after I'm done doing what I'm doing I'll do the rest of my Endeavors. I certainly don't go through 20 or more reroll tokens. I barely use them.

Firstly, the amount of money the game has made as of last year's acquistion is public knowledge.....sorry, the game makes a ton of money.

Second. It's bad enough the odd odd-ball pop-ups and claims this game is P2W, your suggestion gives them ammo.....even though there's no competition in this.....so why the rush!? I would bet my life this suggestion wouldn't bring in the money you claim. Endeavours are part of the endgame, and should be left as is. A person who has just started would still be an asset in a well-built T4 ship with zero endeavours. Endeavours give folk something extra to do than just grind out the same TFO everyday.

"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

This. One does not need to spend buckets of cash to play this game effectively. One can even build a viable ship using free ships and equipment mission rewards, and that ship would do content just fine. I barely spend anything on this game and yet I can hold my own in TFOs and kill things in missions before they kill me.

No, I'm not one of those 'insta-vapers' and I don't want to be. I'm satisfied using equipment I can reclaim or do missions for. I don't need Endeavors to do any content and I don't do them religiously. My rank is somewhere in the 300-400 range, not nearly maxed out.

Nicely said. I'm using a free event ship with mission and rep gear to play the current event (with an endeavor rank of 178) and am finding that everything works just great.

Even on an alt account in the 40-50 range things are fine.

    Thank you, protoneus.

I do spend money when I have it. Usually for slots and other things I need. I've gotten some C-Store ships through the event campaign free T6 coupons, but rarely buy ships. Only sometimes do I buy ships. Some of my characters are like you, they fly in Event ships as a main ship.

Endeavors are easy, there are only one or two that I don't bother with, one is killing Tzenkethi on the ground, because I can't be bothered running a episode or two mission to do it, and the other is healing players on the ground or in space. As for the weapon damage ones those are easy just equip some white/green or blue appropriate weapons types to your ship and run a patrol or TFO, the ground versions are even easier if you have the cyclic weapon set.

... and the other is healing players on the ground or in space.

Space is easy as it counts ANY heals you throw out, either to yourself, other players, or even NPCs. So a TFO or something that has NPCs you can slap a heal on will help contribute. Also if you decide to run patrols and stuff and not just kill everything quickly and actually LET them hurt you. If you're confident enough in your Hull Tanking, you can even just take your shield off. Shield heals are the same. Any shield heal thrown on yourself or friendly NPCs will count.

Ground is a bit harder unless you're a science. But its doable if you happen to have a Sci BOff set up as a medic and set your away team to passive. Medic will still use heals even on passive.

I do this now with a repair platform and the Khnshu patrol. The little buggers run around healing the Khonshu while I'm running the errands to get it materials. I've gotten the purple one before the end battle doing this.
