Console players - any way to log in without showing every follower that I'm online?

Is there any way on consoles to don't be visible to people while logging in the game?

I'm really tired of that everytime I'm switching my character to another, every STO player who follows my console gamertag sees that I'm currently logging in! Everyone following profile can also always see where my logged character currently is.

STO makes core conception of making console profile invisible (offline) for everyone completely useless. The only working solution is to ban/block everyone including friends :dizzy:

Does anyone have some solution?

Besides making yourself appear 'offline' in your Console's options, no. Why does it bother you when you don't get that notification for yourself?

If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Thanks for answering. It bothers me because people look for an opportunity to say 'hello' when I want to be anonymous. Sometimes I just want to remain silent in the game but many people tend to be more sociable all the time. I guess my wish would be a game better co-operating with console's profile status in true way.

I'm not a console player but on PC there is an option in privacy settings to appear anonymous. Don't know if this helps.

There isn't a social tab on Console like there is on PC.

Aren't there the Sony/MS console-wide settings though? If you want to be invisible, set that before starting STO.

Wrong. Game ignores that completely on XBOX. I decided to post it as a bug: https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/1269817/game-ignores-xbox-privacy-settings
Game ignores XBOX privacy settings if offline/hidden mode on console is set up.

    1. Even if offline/hidden mode on XBOX is set up, everyone who is a follower can see when observed gamer logs in or logs out on every created character. Person who observes a playes always get a notification in a form "xxxx@xxxx has logged in/logged out".

    2. Even if offline/hidden mode on XBOX is set up, everyone who is a follower can see an "offline/hidden gamer" on a friends list. I emphasize, that everyone who is not your friend but just follows your gamertag, can see you on the friends list in social tab.

2b. Follower (not a friend) can also check on friends list your location and instance where you logged in.

That does sound like a bug, or at a minimum a design flaw.
