Weekend Upgrade Event - 2023

First time I ever tried the Weekend Upgrade Event and it does not seem to work. The event states "Every Tech Upgrade used will apply twice as many Technology Points", however when I use a Phoenix Universal Tech Upgrade for +38,400 Tech Points it still only shows that amount in the Technology Points field. Should it not say 76,800? I am afraid to click Apply Upgrade and loose those bonues points.
Do I have to click Apply Upgrade before it will show thos ebonus points or should it show these pints before I click Apply Upgrade?

    Save your upgrades. The upgrade event is not active. The omega event was also not extended.

    So you are saying it should have started but for some reason it has not? It does state "From February 23rd at 10AM PDT (19:00 CEST) to February 27th at 10AM PDT (19:00 CEST)" and that was almost an hour ago.

    Correct. It will show under Overview in your journal under upcoming weekend. Once this patch is patched, it'll probably be active.

    Omega event was extended. The anniversary event was not. You can go to Q and start the daily. Omega particles still at all the regular locations.

    Upgrade event does not seem to be working - I checked all types of upgrades.

    Yes, Q and the particles are still there but the event tab is gone. You won't earn any progress for doing it.

    The upgrade bonus is appearing in the upgrade window now even though it's not listed in upcoming weekend. Had to relog.

    Right. They didn't extend the Event Campaign or the Anniversary Event. They extended the Omega Particle Stabilization Event.

    Technically, you could still complete both the Anniversary and Event without the working Omega Stabilization. What we were "shorted" - I use that loosely - was the daily stabilization rewards. You could continue to gather particles without doing the daily, so from a certain point of view, keeping the stabilization going is extra, albeit confusing.
