why are other ships getting good carrier traits?

i have noticed that other ships are getting cooler traits for pets then carriers. the new hydra is a good example console adds 30% damage and the ability to transport in front of you and shoot laser cannons. and the trait gives bonus damage depending on the type of pet. including saucer separation. have to say i am buying the bundle just so i can slap them on my MW flight deck carrier. with other traits and consoles+ these we are talking well over 300% at least on a single pet

    I think you figured out the explanation of why part way through your post... to get you to buy them all. Want the Monitor? Oh to make it more worthwhile you'll need the trait and console from the Hydra. They love doing that, and have been doing it since since basically T6 was a thing, with doing stuff like putting desirable Traits for a Science build on an escort...

    My main worry is they have just copied and pasted the broken Swarmer Matrix console stats and we will end up with another broken consoles that never gets fixed.
