Unable to Authenticate: Lost Connection to Account Server Problem

I have never had this annoying problem before during other maintenance periods in STO, but this one just popped up when I tried to open the Launcher. Any useful information would be nice.

    Reddit didn't really do a good job helping me so I decided to turn to the official forums instead.

    More than likely doing back end maintenance too such as login server hence the unable to authenticate.

    you guys are having server issues yet again. I keep getting booted every few seconds which makes the game unplayable. not a good way to start off a double xp run. fix asap please

    Might be your end as there is not an influx of reports regarding your issue.
