Please fix the Hestia model.

While I dearly love that the Prometheus got a T6 and it has a 25th century skin, and it looks awesome at a glance, it... only looks good at a distant glance, since I first noticed the numerous serious issues with its model.

As such, I've compiled a detailed and thorough list of all the issues I've noticed with the ship's model, as well as things I like or suggest as improvements in brackets following each point.

Saucer (Alpha section):
  • The saucer is the best modeled part of the ship, but it still has issues. [I like the placement for the dark armor paneling, the majority of the escape pods, and the shutters next to the impulse engines that look like auxiliary shuttlebays. Please keep these.]
  • The cannon ports are not up to modern ship model standards whatsoever. Starfleet ship models made years ago have better cannon port and cannon models than this has, with the old "dimple" setup from STO's launch. [The cannon hardpoints could stand to be away from the "ramming armor", such as in the indents along the edges of the saucer's rim, but this is optional. I just personally feel it would be a better location for them.
  • The saucer has no apparent turret hardpoints, and what seems to be turret hardpoints are not up to modern ship model standards either. (They're just a dome light?) [There should be one on the front and back of the top, and one on the front and back of the bottom. Additionally, the front top turret hardpoint, if it is one, should probably be a little bit further back so it's not sitting on top of the "ramming armor".]
  • The saucer looks squished in places, seeming a little *too* thin, even if the streamlined look makes sense. This is especially evident in "squish" with the windows in front of the bridge deck.
  • The bridge module doesn't look the best, especially compared to not only other modern Starfleet ship models as well as its own battle bridge on the Beta section. [Could the design of the main bridge be updated to follow a similar style to the Beta section's battle bridge?]
  • Some of the saucer's escape pods are contained INSIDE the ramming guard plating on the tip of the saucer. Bad placement if the escape pods are intended to be used.
  • The saucer was obviously modeled to have longer phaser strips on the top and bottom, with a long pair of grooves on the top and a long pair of panel on the bottom, but the actual phaser strips only cover 2/3 of the length instead of the entire modeled length.
  • The red ports on the top of the saucer behind the nacelle and on the bottom near the tip appear to be modeled as vent ports for the ship's Firebringer ability, but the vented plasma instead comes out of the nacelles.
  • There is no recess for the Beta section's battle bridge to fit in the docking gap on the underside of the saucer, and the nacelle doesn't have a recessed gap to fit into so it doesn't collide with the battle bridge either.
  • The opening for the Beta section saucer to fit under the main saucer isn't properly shaped so the parts will not clip into each other. This is especially true for the pair of "lips" on either side which clip horribly into the Beta section.
  • The fore deflector and torpedo tube area on the front of the saucer is just a set of three indented glow line areas, unlike the detail pass the Prometheus got recently. These should be the saucer's deflector and two fore torpedo tubes. There are also no aft torpedo tubes.
  • The hull texture is warped, especially from how the saucer appears to be "squished".
  • The front docking port (if that's a docking port) on the front tip of the saucer is misshaped and not up to current model standards. (Side docking ports are also missing.)
  • The saucer only has fore RCS thrusters. It needs aft ones as well, top and bottom.
  • The saucer is missing connection points for docking with Beta section, which includes both corridor and turbolift connection points, as well as docking clamps.
  • The only issue with the impulse engines on the main saucer are that the saucer chevrons of Beta and Gamma sections are too wide and clip with them. [The impulse engines on the main saucer look good, actually.]
  • The nacelles glow texture is warped around the back.
Upper section (Beta section):
  • The Beta section is the second best modeled part of the ship, but has worse issues than the saucer.
  • There are no visible cannon hardpoints on the Beta section *at all*. [There should be properly placed and modeled cannon hardpoints here, along the edge of the saucer chevron.]
  • There's also only one apparent turret hardpoint, which also uses the outdated "lamp" model. [There should be a turret hardpoint on the front of the Beta section, as well as the front and back of the bottom of it, and all should be up to current model standards.]
  • This section also has some issues with appearing squished in places, mainly with textures on the tip of the saucer chevron as well as the battle bridge module.
  • The battle bridge module otherwise looks good, although the ribbed section on top could use an improvement, like the one on the main saucer's bridge.
  • There is no indent on the bottom for a battle bridge of the Gamma section to fit.
  • There are absolutely no escape pods on the Beta section. This is a serious oversight.
  • The phaser strips on the Beta section are also lacking. The two on top of the saucer chevron are too short. There are also absolutely no phaser strips on the top back, and the underside of the section. [The phaser strips on the front top of the saucer chevron could be lowered and made to run the length of the saucer chevron. There need to be any at all on the aft top, and fore and aft bottom, with the fore bottom strips being comparable length to the fore top strips.]
  • There are red ports along the top of Beta section's "spine" which appear to be vents for the Firebringer ability. Like with the main saucer, the ship vents the plasma from the nacelles instead of these. Additionally, there are no matching vents on the section's underside.
  • There are no docking ports on the Beta section.
  • The saucer chevron is too wide to properly fit in the recess on the underside of the main saucer, causing it to horribly clip with the saucer's hull and its impulse engines.
  • The deflector array and torpedo tubes on the front of the Beta section look good, but could use a bit of a touchup compared to the Prometheus model. There are also no aft torpedo tubes.
  • There are absolutely no RCS thrusters on the Beta section.
  • There are no connection points for docking with the Saucer on the top of Beta section's saucer chevron, and no connection points for docking with Gamma section on the underside. This includes corridor and turbolift connections, and connecting points for docking clamps and the warp core.
  • The main shuttlebay on Beta section has the exact same problem the Prometheus model had when the game launched; the texture is placed and warped in a way where it cannot be discerned where the doors actually *are*, and how they possibly can open. Additionally, there is no "lip" on the underside to the aft of the shuttlebay doors to serve as a runway and to connect with Gamma section.
  • There are no impulse engines on Beta section.
  • The glow texture on the nacelles is warped around the back.
Lower section (Gamma section):
  • The Gamma section is the worse modeled part of the ship. It appears to be a straight up modified copy of the horribly incorrect model the Prometheus had when the game launched. It was also evidently shrunken down and doesn't even match up with the other two sections' models, but still clips into them.
  • There are no visible cannon hardpoints on the Gamma section *at all*. [There should be some along the edge of the saucer chevron.]
  • There are absolutely no turret hardpoints at all on Gamma section. [There should be one fore and aft on the top, as well as on the bottom.]
  • The model issues with this section I'll attempt to not go into length about how bad it is. This section is too small and tapered along the hull underneath to have much if any room to speak of for crew to actually crew the section. [It could stand to have a model comparable to the shape of the Prometheus' Gamma section.]
  • There is no battle bridge module on the Gamma section at all.
  • There are only escape pods on the bottom of Gamma section. There could stand to be some on the underside of its saucer chevron. [The escape pods that are present are a pleasant surprise, along with the warp core ejection port, considering the abject lack of sufficient detail on the rest of the section.]
  • There are barely any phaser strips on Gamma section. The ones present are too short on the front. The aft phaser strips on the top are placed wrong, as they are inside the lip that appears to be designed to connect with Beta section's shuttlebay. [The phaser strips on the front could stand to run the length of the saucer chevron on the top and bottom. The aft strips on the top should be placed on the outer edge of the back point of the section, instead of inside the lip.]
  • There are absolutely no vents for the ship's Firebringer ability on Gamma section.
  • There are no docking ports on Gamma section.
  • Despite the apparent attempt to shrink Gamma section so it wouldn't clip with other sections, it still clips with the main saucer's impulse engines, and the reduced size of Gamma section makes it not properly fit with the rest of the ship's model. This also causes the lip on the back to not connect with Beta section's shuttlebay, instead clipping inside the ship. [Gamma section needs to be restored to full size so it fits with the rest of the model, and extensively re-modeled to look correct and not clip.]
  • Gamma section is also lacking an indent to fit the module on the aft underside of Beta section when docked.
  • The main deflector of Gamma section might look nice at a glance, but it's a flat texture which could stand more detailed model work. Additionally, the rim around in with dark armor paneling has jarring texture placement with zigzag lines along the bottom edge.
  • There are absolutely no torpedo tubes on Gamma section. There isn't even a torpedo launcher pod on the underside of the saucer chevron like the Prometheus has.
  • There are absolutely no connection points for docking with Beta section, including corridor and turbolift connections, docking clamps, or a warp core connection port.
  • [While optional, Gamma section could also use an auxiliary shuttlebay or cargo bay doors on the back. This also might line up with comparable functional details of the Prometheus class.]
  • There are no impulse engines on Gamma section.
  • The glow texture on the nacelles is warped around the back. [Optionally, the lower nacelles could use an option for longer nacelles to match the ones on the Beta section.]

Please fix these issues when as soon as possible. The quality is extremely noticable and jarring, especially compared to other T6 ships, including ones released *before* the Hestia.

Additionally, I will be compiling and posting extensive redlined screenshots showing the model issues described.

I have to agree with Coldnapalm here the Prometheus line shouldn't be priority for another quality pass this soon, maybe once ships with more dire need for an update had their time to shine, the Prommie line can go in for another look.

I am all for the Prometheus getting another quality pass. Maybe if they had done a better job the last two times, it wouldn't still need another one or few.

Agreed. The Prometheus had one of the worst models at launch, and was kept that way for ages. Now it looks like the Hestia took that spot after they got to fix up the Prometheus' model twice. The Hestia's model really won't look good for the game in its current state, alongside all these other high-fidelity models that earned Cryptic the chance to work with CBS and have them included in ST: Picard. It'll keep looking worse as everything else is improved, if it's not fixed to match that quality.

I don't mean I want something people would call unfair like it getting another flyable version with better stats and gear (unless that's what it takes to get it fixed), I'm just asking for the Hestia's model to be fixed to be the kind of decent/high quality it *should* have been when *first made*.
