Can you re-orient your ship to the horizontal plane?

So when you enter a zone or a map your ship is at a horizontal level plane relative to the playing field. Once you go up or down, you're no longer horizontally level. Is there a way you can automatically snap your ship back to that level horizontal plane? (Sort of like how you can "snap" your viewing camera to be directly behind your ship?)

Sometimes a captain just wants to stay on one axis at a time :)

I don't think this is possible (I've never seen a reference to it anywhere and I've been playing for about 4 years now), but it would be soooo amazing if it were. Trying to get myself back to that orientation is maddening sometimes!

Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm not aware of any function like that, your best bet is to orient your ship in regards to stationary NPCs that are present on most social maps. But during a mission I don't think there is anything you can do, no astrometric overlay outside of sector space 😅

You're probably right, but trying to do so manually is SUCH a pain in the butt!
