FINALLY got a Cardassian BOFF Recruiting Assignment...

...and it’s for my KDF ROM 😭😭😭
I have one FED Cardassian I have been making due with 2 Common Cardi BOFFs and this would have been huge, even if it turns out to be Rare/Blue quality. Sadly, I am 90 % Certain it’s not faction-transferrable even though it’s a neutral race.
Since I have seen a rare thread come up in the distant past on the issue, the recruiting assignment spawned in the KDF shipyard (I heard a report it’s maybe more likely/only likely on DS9) so I wanted to throw this out for the record.

I might have done it myself over the years since I have no Cardassian captains.

True, but the player would probably want a full Cardassian crew to go with that if they care more about Space Barbie than maximizing DPS.
I never use a Diplomacy Nausican Pirate or the Voth defector in my crews because they mess with the themes.

Pretty much this. It’s hard to resist the trait temptation of a diverse bridge, but then there’s the away team as well. One solid (purple) LtCom/Commander on the bridge and maybe 2 Ens/Lts (any rarity) at minimum on the away team, and the makeup looks right for say a Cardassian Captain.
Even the common ones are like better than the pirate trait (There is no superior pirate). All my new toons use a full common Cardi space crew. Most bridge officers don’t even have space traits.
Just get the common ones from the Boff vendor at ESD. They are severely under-rated.

I also really wish that all of the special BOFFs (Hierarchy, Voth, Jem'Hadar) could wear faction specific uniforms. I don't use any of these on my characters because they can't wear my ship's uniform, which really sucks.
Actually that's not quite true. The Hierarchy BOFF was originally 'bugged' and I was able to put him in my ship's uniform. The others though, I just don't use.
