I have been thinking that the following additions to the reputation system would really increase the variability of player builds.
1. Space energy weapon variants for all energy types, for all reputations.
2. A cannon and beam variant for all space energy weapons.
* beam array <--> single cannon
* dual beam <--> dual cannon
* omni beam <--> turret
3. A unique kit frame for each ground set along with a corresponding 4pc bonus.
4. A warp core and singularity core for the Omega, Romulan, and Nukara rep sets.

2. Maybe yes, for the DBB only problem. But I'd fix DBBs and standard cannons instead to be more desirable.
3. Making all ground sets a 4-set won't hurt, but I'd rather prioritize in making EV suits as alts for the armors for every set.
4. Yes. And some updates stats for these reps.
