4/3 T6 Small Ships

seamusx447seamusx447 Member Posts: 63 Arc User
I'd like to have a T6 that is 4/3 or 4/4, that isn't a Defiant class, or the Temproal Raider. Does one exist? Answers only, no derogatory or derisive, etc remarks.

Isn't the temporal raider 4/2+1? that said there aren't that many small 4/4 T6 ships, now pretty much every T6 cruiser has 4/4 layout but those tend to be rather large.

No ship in-game has more then 8 total weapon slots.

I think I've seen a 4/4+1 (including the experimental slot).

Thanks, but I'm looking closer to Nova or Miranda size, Rhode Island variant Nova class being one of my favorites. As Spiritborn said there aren't many, none that I have been able to find/notice yet. Really good turn radius is the point of the need for smaller size, 8+ base.

The turn rate on those still fits your bill. If that's all you care about regarding size then those should work well for you. And of course there is the T6 Miranda itself, which perhaps you've overlooked (it has a fleet version if you prefer.) https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Reliant_Advanced_Light_Cruiser

    Well, what about this?

I was thinking it was 4/2, thank you for pointing it out.

not particularly small, but the Ferengi Nandi Warship and Undine Cheirax Bio-Warship are 4/4s. There's also several "warships" that are 5/3s (including the Legendary Defiant and the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Warship).

4/3s are often found among the "escort" types, with an experimental weapon added, though some of the newer ones are 5/2s.

Also as you mentioned turn rate: there are some cruisers / battlecruisers with fairly high turn rates (9+)... for example the Eclipse and Arbiter both have 10.

Thank you for your recommendations. I may be mistaken on turn rate.... just looked it up, I am. Base Miranda has 11.4, which is the low end I actually want.

It's a Lockbox ship (don't think you've said if those are excluded), but Book's Ship is a tiny 5/3 ship with a base turn rate of 18.

    Never seen the Clarke before.
It's a fairly new ship, if you're on console it hasn't been released there yet.

I've seen 4/3+1 ones but I can't remember any ships that had 9 or more weapon slots.

Unlikely - when they first introduced the experimental weapon slot (under its first name) they stated that they were being added to escorts and similar classes that didn't already have 8 weapon slots.

The Reliant (Miranda) and Clarke fits this.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I'm always frustrated with ship sizes. You can zoom it to get it right, but doing that then effects your view of the other ships on your account. It makes me stick to flying ships that I'm comfortable with the zoom on all.

So, can anyone ELI5 this; I purchased a Reliant last night, it's turn rate is 6. Lvl 65 captain. is the 11 on the fandom page after Mastery 5?
Also, where do I find the Clarke? I looked for it last night, not a Zen or basic vendor ship.

There are no ships with more than 8 weapons...it's either 5/2/1, 4/3/1, 5/3. or 4/4 or in a single case 3/5

The Paladin Temporal Battlecruiser is a 4/4 ship with base turn rate of 10. (How to translate base turn rates into in-game degrees per second I don't know. For me, 10 base can be around 30-40 degrees per second with 2 or 3 RCS consoles, while the Defiant's 15.5 becomes 60+ degrees per second with 3 RCS consoles.) Your equipment and Endeavor perks can alter the stats, so no single ship is likely to fly exactly the same on two different accounts. Note that to check the in-game turn rate, you should be in motion and turning, with decent gear equipped.

Edit: Oh, and the Clarke and Grissom are regular Zen store ships and are also in the New Genesis Bundle, at least on PC. Don't think they've made it to consoles yet. But on PC they should be under Ships->T6 Ships, and under New.

The Clarke is on the Zen Store, and is in the New tab as the latest bundle.

I go for all available turn rates I can get, aside from consoles if I need weapon buffs. I will have to check what my mulitpliers are set at, thank you.
