Anyone else just having the game crash after crash after crash? Im used to maybe one a day but so far in an hour im at 3 hard crashes to desktop with the error message.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
I don't think it's a driver issue I'm running the latest Nvidia Geforce drivers, the last several weeks. I'm also getting the occasional crash, but many get them far more frequently!
Still the problem is 100% the program for sure, and likely a change made since 5/25 - 4/28. For years before it had run reliably for almost everyone.
While only a small % report things on the forums, several are identifying the 3 closely linked issues in these threads:
It's interesting someone noted in a General Discussion Thread 5/27 that many queues seemed less likely to run or 'dead' was their word choice; I suspect it has caused by the above?
Perhaps chat is only available in english as I'm in North America, may exist for a few other regions.
╘ click Game Support, then look for a blue chat window (bottom right) corner.
Or click the hyperlink Contact Support in White/Light Grey to open a Arc Ticket.
╘it's within the darker grey border Support | Contact Support where your username is on right of it.
If you click your Username you can view your past tickets, or update tickets as well.
Try your best to answer any questions they have, and explain what your seeing. You can also include a few screen shots showing various issues.
Note: Dxdiag is an application that comes included with Direct X and can save all details on each machine in text format for you to upload to them. If there's multiple computers save to a USB drive to upload them for each computer in the household.
Then maybe with that detail they can send it on to the next Tier of Support for at least a bit more investigation. As that may help them identify to the DEVs information on machines having issues, so they can review to help troubleshoot, or help identify a way to fix or improve performance issues.
Ill just be doing admiralty or something and the game just shuts down and goes to the Cryptic restart box that gives you the error code. Next time it pops Ill submit a ticket.

All seem to start (mostly) around 5/25 update, though a few in first thread listed reporting seeing Black Screens on Patch 4/28.
So hopefully they are putting resources into resolving these issues soon, if they haven't already...

To many players having crashed on STO only, for it to be driver issues. 3 different accounts, 4 different machines here.

I haven't seen that since 5/25, when I then uninstalled and reinstalled it completely to fix it.
Though like many others I do sometimes get a daily crash!
At least this time CTRL-ALT-DEL after waiting 1-2 minutes on Black Screen, then restarting the program returned it to loading fine.
Hopefully they make fixing this a priority, along with the crashes after some of the other fixes we saw today.
total: 3 crashes this week.
