It could be many things. Firstly, I'd restart your PC and Wifi as there maybe an IP conflict. As for your 100Mb, I guarantee it is not that, as that is the 'theoretical' maximum that your line can give. There's also possible IP throttling, Interconnection issues, localised weather issues, and a dozen other things slowing the connection. My best guess is it's your end.

Have you gone to the Options section of the launcher, turned off On Demand Patching, turned on Force Verify, and then let it patch? Also, when one has been on a long break from a game, there usually has been a lot of patches that have been done as well during that timeframe especially for STO.

thanks, i was afraid to restart, but proxy to EU and a restart fixed it.

sthe91, it was a fresh install i bought a new pc for star citizen (^-^), thanks to your suggestion, i remembered about the proxy settings so thanks!

leemwatson, thanks, for the help and the time (^-^) just to clear up, i dont use wifi, i use ethernet. my 100Mb is my rated speed to the internet, not just cable speed to the router.

yet another case of "Have you tried turning it off and on again" working but not wanting to do it.
