Apparently they are bringing in L'rell, and Tyler/Voq's son into the new mission. Keeping in his role as guardian of the time crystals.

Though he wont be played by the characters original actor, due to said actor having ALS making it hard for them to get where they need to be to do it. Though the VA they did get was coached by him.

With news of a Klingon recruitment event, maybe they will use the time crystals so Klingons can get the Temporal Recruit bonuses?

It's a shame they couldn't get the original actor though as far as replacement actors go they picked a decent one IMHO and the blog suggested that this done not only at Kenneth Michell's consent but he personally picked the actor to replace him.

I figured "extenuating circumstances" means that Mr. Mitchell has gone the way of Dr. Hawking - the ALS has taken out his voice in the period since he filmed his scenes in Discovery Season 3. Speaking of which, the fact that they made a role for him specifically to take his disability into account - if that's not a sign of how much they love the guy, I don't know what is.

"-Hey, guys we got Sam Witwer! You know, the definite voice and personality of Darth Maul and Ian McDiarmid's replacement when he's not available as Palpatine in Star Wars. Perhaps it's worthy an announcement in the forums?
    -.... Na."

Very excited to hear his voice again, even if it won't be his usual style.

Wouldn't mind hearing him scream J'mpok's name like he did with Kenobi's, as an easter egg somewhere in the mission.

I didn't see this write-up in the forums so placing a link to it.

    https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483073

It isn't a lengthy read but I thought a well crafted one covering a cool Discovery character (imo) & great actors exemplifying what Star Trek is about.

There is a thread about this right in this forum.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Tenavik doesn't strike me as much of a scream-and-yell type of guy, heh heh.

Would be great if this was for the inclusion of Klingons to the AoY (or at least the Klingon equivalent).

I hope that there'll be an equivalent to the TOS era and their T6 26th Century counterpart ship bundle that the Agents of Yesteryear had. Unless there are new 29th Century ships (that fill ship roles that the original three don't cover), then this bundle should be large enough ship-wise. Costume piece ideas for the bundle: mustache and beard combos that the Klingons had in TOS, as well as the hairdo that Mara (science officer and Captain Kang's wife) had. Mara's uniform would be a great costume piece.

I tend to agree, every once in awhile I'll have his Twitch stream on in the background & he'll cite Star Trek references, movies & some of the tv series, along with other franchise references out of the blue. It's just a nice thought to think an artist has a passion for what they're operating within besides for just a paycheck.

I don't have a fem klink captain but I'm pretty sure we got both versions of the ToS Klingon outfit available for females, at least the male version is available in full.

I really like this guy, I loved his work in Being Human, Force Unleashed & Clones Wars.

Sam is a great guy, I really enjoyed interacting with him on his twitch, and the interview showed how deep his love for Star Trek is.

Indeed, which is why I talked about an easter egg, instead of a canon line.

Unless J'mpok crosses the line again so bad he manages to seriously tick off Tenavik.

I admit to being surprised that he's a major league Trekkie on top of everything else, mainly because of his fairly extensive association with Star Wars. Proof that IDIC works in a galaxy far, far away too, wouldn't you say?

Well Ben Burt was major Trekkie if the comment tracks on Star Trek (2009) DvD are anything to go by (TOS fan to be exact), it's not like you can't like both.

Can't talk about Ben Burtt without mentioning one of his best (and favorite) works, which is pure earporn:

What? You dare speak such blasphemy?

...I'm kidding, of course, but there are plenty of people on both sides of that aisle who like to whiz in our corn flakes, as it were.

To this day I find it downright sad that the Khitomer...the FIRST Alliance starship....wasn't worthy of a unique bridge/interior.

I doubt this one's gonna be any different. Sigh.

Like at least let us just select from existing bridges and interiors.

It's SOOOO going to be the generic, ugliest one.

Unless one of the missions involves trashing the Khitomer again after it has been hijacked by J'mpok, and then beaming on the bridge to get rid of his guards and stun his imperial rump off the captain's chair.

Ugh. i know. It's so infuriating. Our Bridge/Decks are as close to a Player House as you get in this game. There should be entire missions that take place IN our starship. Chances to repel boarding parties. Resist Assimilation. Or have our own lil Captain Picard Day. if you won't give us unique interiors just LET US FREAKING USE THE PURCHASABLE ONES ANYWHERE.

At least that. Sigh. Rant over. Today.

That would be fun, go to the eating area get some earl grey tea, maybe play strip poker with the crew and if Tovan cheats he's getting thrown into the brig without any air support or playing D&D on the holodeck, Klingons are banned from D&D due to murderhoboing the holograms for cowardice and dishonorable prices.

The problem with that is that there's bridges that are just that a bridge and nothing more, it's not business to say "oh you using a Voth ship for stats well this content is not for you then should have used the ship with generic interiors". Full interiors take time as it's not just the 3D geometry but making sure all the tech related to that geometry works like it's suppose to, it's been stated several times that in terms of programming work it takes as long to craft interiors as it takes to make missions and for most alien race we see a bridge and maybe a length of corridor at most so everything else would be something Cryptic as to make up.

I wouldn't count on it. The new Klingon intro got their own version of the "Origin" bridge on our spiffified Bird of Prey, and that's not available (that I'm aware of).

I'd expect it won't be the same benefits as any previously announced Recruit bonus. Realize even if people played only Klingon's up to that point, there was nothing stopping one from creating a Temporal Recruit as a Fed. Then they, yes even as Klingons would have received the benefits.

So I'd strongly expect the Klingon Benefit's to be very unique, different, and several new things to offer!
