Need help with the new event system (Q's Winter Wonderland)

Okay so back after a long hiatus. Logged in, talked to the race official, did the race...and nothing? I don't see anything in the inventory, and the event tracker which is now accessed through the mission log shows 0/20.

What's the new way of getting events to register?

    Once you completed the race, did you go back to the Race Official and turn it in?

    This is likely the problem. I've done it twice so far for my progress this year and it works fine for me.
