The tweet is for a new Community Manager for Magic: Legends.

Star Trek Online still doesn't actually have one.

As for the Bundle, the escort is actually a pretty good one.. but 1800 Lobi for a single character puts me with most people.. not interested. The rest of the stuff in the 'bundle' is worthless.

Initially reading the headline I was almost giddy thinking Cryptic was going to release the other Tzenkethi ship that Broln'ta Cruiser, but instead it is just including it's console.

After reading this bundle's details my thoughts are:

Does Cryptic know that the Shuk-din has (7) weapon slots, 5/2, along with it's special experimental weapon? If so as they should know then only (5) Diffusive Tetryon weapons seem sparse for no reason but just to troll or spite.

I think that Tzenkethi vanity shield is one of the more highly sought-after ones so that seems good if you're into that.

Does Cryptic mean Tzenkethi DOFFs (are there such?) or those Tzenkethi Intelligence Assignments & regardless of which, how many because those Briefings unpack "random" assignments? If they're the assignments you need all (5) different ones for one of the two accolades & dilithium reward (5k-25k).

I like that the upgrades are the Ultimates, but (6) don't seem enough at this price but tough to judge how many are a reasonable amount.

& this price 1800 lobi, (2) T-6 ships worth of lobi, is a lot imo but I applaud Cryptic's efforts, I've always thought it seemed a good ship. But remember this is NOT account-wide.

Also, if Cryptic is replacing Mike (Ambassador Kael) that sort of bums me out. He is no where near flawless & I think some of his criticism is valid, but I enjoy his livestreams mostly when I view them & never got a malicious vibe from him.

No, it's a CM for Magic: Legends.

It's of moderately high value yes. In fact, the funny thing with this bundle is that the Vanity Shield is almost the most valuable part.

The Shuk-din only runs 400M on the exchange.. that's roughly the same value as the vanity shield. Neither is all that highly desired which just kinda makes this bundle look even more silly.

Together with the new mudds pack this one really makes me wonder who is supposed the buy it.

Performance players certainly not and considering we are talking Tzenkethi here I doubt is the space barbie brand either.

Now Pete, I realize you may not have noticed during our runs, since I was a flie compared to you all's juggernauts and otherwise HUGE ships, but I do fly my Shuk-din on one of my characters. My second-best one, perfomance wise, in fact!
(One my fleetmate, and a dear friend, have a character on the Tzen-tar and we often jokes about how I'm the size of one his pets XD)

All in all, of all the latest bundles, this is the one that interests me the most - probably because it's a cross faction one, as opposed to the others "all Fed".

Still, 1.8k lobi for a single character is excessive, even with the 6 Ultimate Upgrade thrown in.

Oh I have the shuk din myself on two of my characters. Reason I got them was the sheller experimental gun. With a miracle worker station the ship on itself is surely formidable and I did happen to notice that you fly it well. :)

My snarky comment here was aimed at cryptic. We have numerous lock box and promo ships that peeps like to have because they come with top of the line consoles and traits. Now we reach points where lock box ships easily get in 1B ec reach and promo far beyond that. They are not even availbale at times. I was hoping cryptic would use such expencive lobi offers on those than on ships that seem to get along on their own and are available. :/

This is the real crux of the issue I have.

Cryptic and I have a big disconnect when it comes to value on these bundles. Outside of the Mirror Bundle, I have found them all to be excessively overpriced. This one however, might be the worst.. 1800 Lobi for a ship that goes for $400M on the exchange and a bunch of junk? Even the Ultimates are worth next to nothing anymore, how many free ones have we received over the last few months? I have at least 3 of them just sitting in my bank.

If the bundle was 1800 Lobi to unlock the ship account wide.. then that would be a different topic, but Cryptic taking a ship with low desirability (doesn't mean to imply that it's not good) and packaging it with junk for 1800 lobi just doesn't sit well with me.

I really thought they had it down with the Mirror Bundle, that was a great deal for 4500 Zen, but then they counter with the Walker Bundle, the Dreadnought pack and now this.. I don't get it.

I don't know about flying it well, but I enjoy it and it's served me very well. I have lots of fun flying with her and I quite like the looks, tho I realize I may be part of a minority.

And I get you, don't worry. I was just joking around.

I agree, 100%. Perfomance aside, it does have a low desirability, so asking people to fork over 1.8k lobi for it is over the top.
As you said, if it was an account-unlock, then things might have been different, but the recent thread to overinflating prices by adding stuff like the UTUs as "justification" is troubling, to say the least.

Not only it doesn't make much sense - not even from a commercial point of view, because they seriously cannot expect us to hand them so much money back-to-back, especially given the current situation and with so many people suddenly out of a job, or about to be - but I think it may end up being counterproductive in the long term.

And it also goes against the recent dilithium sinks they've made, to try and bring the DilEx to a more reasonable rate. Now, between the Walker, the latest Mudd's package and this one, it's skyrocketed by more than 40 points and it's now sitting at 480.
Why make sinks at all, then?

Yeah - have to say, it is a little confusing. The Mirror Bundle was evidentially very popular judging by the number of Galaxy Dreadnoughts, and ships using ISS instead of USS, I have seen since the pack released. Saying that, I've seen quite a number of Walker class (and skin variants thereof) since the new DSC bundle released too.

Still, I guess its all about the metrics and only Cryptic know what their metrics say.

Out of curiosity. Did you encounter the walker more in public instances/sectors or in PvE/action maps? :)

Yea I can believe that. Feels like they are omnipresent. :)

Was just curious about the walker. I assume it appeals to newer players and I’m interested how well they do in PvE.

Since I got back I’m a bit spoiled by channel runs. No walkers there. But of course Terran dreads. :D

Its actually a nice looking saucer styled ship(I think we fly it on an episode as well) and also not a mammalian ship - thats a bonus! :p

for the Walker I think augie uses it if you can catch one of his streams

Compare this to the Plain and Simple Bundle that released at 1500 Lobi (sale at 1200). It has one extra Ultimate Upgrade, some Weapons, a Console, Vanity Shield and other junk. The Duty Officer Assignments, they don't even tell you how many. Is this extra stuff worth 300 extra Lobi? Well, Lobi Consoles are normally 200 Lobi.

The other way to compare is to a normal Lobi Ship at 900, or a PROMO Ship at 1200. A Lockbox Ship is not in the class of a Promo Ship (but lately they've put Ships in Promo Boxes that should have been a Lockbox or Lobi Ship).

At 5 Lobi per Lockbox opened and 100 Zen per Key, thats about 36000 Zen. The 10 Ship Legendary Bundle lists for 29500,and those are Account Unlocks.

The Plain and Simple Bundle was going for about 400 million EC when it released.

This Bundle will probably go for 20% off when it releases or 1440 Lobi. But, since this is releasing during the Black Friday 'Season' we may have a 30% Lobi Store Sale instead. Notice their evasive wording in the Announcement, '...will be subject to any sales that might occur during its availability.'

I have to confess, I purchased the bundle. Partly because I made a new DSC era character (I wanted to run a 'Liberated Terran themed character, using the Mirror Constitution I purchased from the exchange) and I did therefore benefit from the level boost, and partly because I love the Georgiou class skin; I have the T6 Lobi store version on one of my characters, but having said ship unlocked across my account appealed to me.

I have it too.. i just love the 2411 skin.. it's a nice ship, and kinda tanky, still upgrading some stuff.. as i decided on covert phasers, so i have to re-ing and upgrade those.. but so far, i'm happy, still not a dps master, as my Mirror Dread.. but i'm getting there..

We've had 1200 'free' Lobi recently, the 1000 for the Mega-Event, and 200 you could purchase at the Winter Wonderland. Any others were a choice in one of the recent Selection Bundles, which cost Zen.

Which is what I said in the Post directly above yours - 36000.

Its hard for me to gauge true value of lobi ship cause like you said if they were coverted to zen the legendary pack was cheaper. Yet same time they sell for mid range prices in exchange 300-500m mostly while lockbox ships seem to sell 650-950m and promo ships over 1b. I think it comes down to a case by case basis depending on how desirable each lobi ships and what the supply towards demand is

Not knocking anyone that places value in "space barbie" but I think there's definitely an askewed parity in a game's economy if cosmetics surpass functionality, but again my opinion. But Cryptic controls much, but not all, of the supply then we give the demand. At this point I think Cryptic might be pushing-out anything they think "whales" are gonig to buy & don't even consider the casual player/buyer for Store buys. Yeah yeah I know Cryptic just placed another item inthe normal Store: a combat-pet Targ but it was doubled in price for no apparent reason too lol.

If anyone doesn't want the vanity shield, let me know. 😁

Instead get the Emperor's Vanity Shield. It's the coolest one
