The widening gyre event and the directX bug

I see in todays patch notes that players experiencing the directX bug will be able to play STO again, but according to the Widening Gyre event post, participants need 20 days of participation to claim the space set. Players who were victim of the directX bug cannot complete the event in time, and shouldn't be required to pay 'out of pocket' to buy out the event.

So what are the chances we directx victims will get compensated for time we werent allowed to play because of a patch glitch ?

    They will probably just extend the event. Though if they were doing to do that, I would assume they would have said so in the patch notes, so... who knows.

    I'm good with that- lost 2 weeks waiting for the fix, extend it 2 weeks . Done and done.

    Hope @ambassadorkael#6946 see this post, im at day 3/20 now... please extend the event, rewards looks nice but buyout was set in 6000z, thats way out of my willing to pay for it, i rather buy 3 ships

    It's possible not enough was effected by this bug. but maybe.

    Original end date was Nov 5, in-game Event tab now says Nov 8.
    So, a mere three days was added.

    Unless it gets extended more, sorry.

    What a disappointment.

    18 days of torment for nothing, trusting the devs.

    At one point the in-game calendar said it would end on Nov.12. Not sure if that would have allowed you to complete it or not. But then it changed back to Nov.8 and ended.

    glad to see many people got stuck in 18/20 (sorry but im not paying 6 bucks for the buyout), guess devs/mods should had told us that the event would have been impossible to complete for all of us with the directx problem.
